3rd Person RTS. Like Sacrifice, or Brutal Legend (but preferably with better tutorials so the learning curve isn't so scary). Build an army and fight alongside them. Rather than the usual control-your-guys-from-the-sky kind of RTS which is easier to understand at first glance but ultimately isn't as engaging and fun IMO.
Space Dog Fighter. They are fun, have enough millitary to make them interesting to people, and haven't had a good one since the late 90's.
I do understand that we are opposed to flight sims because a bunch of 3rd world turds decided to use them as crib notes on how to destroy major buildings, but space dog fighters involve fictional craft in wonky physics with nonexistant technologies.
So can I please get a new Wing Commander or a new genereation X-Wing/Tie Fighter with an online element?

We really need a new big Horror game. Most of the horror games recently have not been so scary, and the genre on a whole has gone down in quality in recent years. Here's hoping Insane will fit the bill...
I'd love to see survival horror have a big comeback, sure games like Dead Space sell well but there just not that scary. Hope a big publisher picks up Frictional, that would solve this problem straight away, Amnesia and the Penumbra games are terrifying.
AoS, or DoTA-style games, which ever you want to call them.
I'm assuming we'll get this with DoTA 2. If not then there's the Blizzard DoTA maps, but I'd really like to see a standalone success that way the genre could start evolving beyond DoTA.
LoL and HoN simply don't seem like huge successes, or even a real step forward. Demigod was a valiant attempt, but... well that got botched.

Horror really need a good game... not saying Deadspace wesent a good game but its wasent terrorizing or anything.. crossing fingers for Deadspace2
Adventure games, in their modern incarnations, or sidescrolling 2D platformers. I want them back.

Nuclear Dawn looks promising, although I haven't seen enough information to make a good judgement on it. Hopefully it will be good because RTS/FPS hybrids seem to have a lot of potential. Sadly, the Empires Mod is clinging on to dear life, community has dwindled down to just regulars now, with a single server usually having no players to a peak of 60 players. I highly suggest anyone that wants to see a game that uses this genre blend to try it out and spread the word about it.Kair said:
