Maybe the list could be improved in some areas, but it's not really anything to get worked up about...

Beyond Good and Evil at #200 is surprising and the lack of Psychonauts is just absurd. Lemmings made it on there though. That makes me smile at least.

Of course this is just opinion and personally I think this sort of thing doesn't really makes sense as there is never a "best game ever." Still... show Raz some love man!

God of War (26) beat Half-Life (29).
Halo 2 (110) beat Team Fortress 2 (118).
What.

Edit:
Halo (39) beat Fallout 3 (65).

Well, considering Game Informer magazine is just 80% advertising for Gamestop and has no journalistic integrity, they can shove their list.

The first few on the list I could see (Except GTA 3....WTF!?). But then I saw they put A Link to the Past AFTER WoW.......nope. Sorry, no way in hell.

And I LIKE WoW. Played in the beta, played for years. But in no way is it better than Zelda.

Never heard of that one... Perhaps the unknown older brother of Oblivion?

Anyway, I'd say it was pretty hit or miss. Some were dead on, some I felt should not have been on the list, or as high/low as they were.
HAHAHAHAHA, that's rich! Blame these guys, I just copied from them what I saw in the magazine. I'm too lazy to type all that ish out.

It seriosly looks like they just took a list of 200 games, mixed it up at random, and put only their first favorite on top leaving the rest to re-scramble again.

It seems the older a game is, the higher it is on this list. Fuck that. Those guys are inhaling a lot of Nintendo ejaculate.

It mingles together tradition and innovation; it's not a bad list.

There are a number of games in there which I'm not personally that fond of, but they are still either good games or landmark games for their time. There are also a few that I'm not familiar with (mainly sports games) so I can't comment on them. But nothing leaps out and is purely ludicrous, though the rankings may be a bit sketchy.

It's pretty good list. If you take the order too personal you'll go crazy. The only way a lot of people will be happy is if they wright the list themselves. You can't compare Pac-Man to Eternal Darkness to Katamari Damacy to Fallout to DDR. The order doesn't matter, it's still a good list of games to at least try.

Just as Yahtzee once said:

(I do not quote)
,,A game that is old, isn't good - it's just old!''

I assume that list is going by how good a game was when it came out, if not it's majorly fucked. Of course pong would be the best game ever if it came out in the 1800's.
