The list is not lacking, since it includes EVERY game I loved, with the exception of DMC3, but they added DMC 1 so I'm covered. I don't agree however with the order, but isn't that a personal thing? Anyways, nice to see a complete list :D

(No Psychonauts eh? I don't mind, since I got stuck and gave up when the game had me grind for money to get a frickin' weapon!)

List is a bit weird: Some placings are really mixed up, but many titles belong in that list... and a lot don't in my opinion. Overall i do not endorse this list... but won't hunt them down for it either.

The Quest too find a greatest video game of all time is a fools quest, one comparable to finding the holy grail, or Atlantis, or C'thulu(whos real by the way). Game informer or any other video game reviewer (Escapist excluded, of course) can't tell us what the greatest game of all time is, because there isn't one. if you work in the entertainment business, you will learn one thing. you can't please everyone. Also, wheres my kidney?

I agree with much of the content, but not in its order. I like God of War, but to put it above Halo, Soul Calibur, KOTOR and for that matter, most of the others on the list seems kinda sucky. Whilst it was good cheap fun, it was hardly more advanced than Soul Reaver, only now with interactive cinematics. Also, putting two other Zelda entries above Ocarina seems like they were trying too hard to be different.

It's someone else's opinion. Actually, I thought that while Portal was good, the Sims was more important because it was longer. Portal is the kind of game that it's better to make memes about rather than play.

These lists only exist to generate publicity from people vilently disagreeing with what they say. Everyone's list is completely different obviously and therefore this type of thing will never has a proper reason to be done. Also Baldurs Gate 2 number 88?

Also what the hell is the criteria on this list? Innovation? Fun? I got no idea. Bioshock is pretty damn high on the list but from what ive heard its a system shock 2 clone. Any game more than 15 years old has absolutely nothing on for example Modern Warfare 2 but thats 181st. It makes no sense.

Many games older than 15 years are better than MW2. MW2 is just riding the hype train, as an actual game there is nothing remarkable about it.
Sure man, you can play packman, and I'll just stick with my Dragon Age and online multiplayer knife throwing. I get this alot but no-ones has ever offered an explanation. Innovation does not make a game fun if you have already played games that have improved on the concept. If a pacman 2 was released that was exactly the same as pacman 1 with a better menu system, it would be a better game.

Gamespot can not be asked to make a correct list.

Also, last time I checked, just because the games Nostalgic doesn't make it good.

BS, portal and PoP:SoT are WAY too good to be 99 and 100. There are also way too many snes and nes games. From an objective standpoint they don't stand up at all. well, imo (irony)

Also there is no WAY Mass Effect is better than Fallout 3. Hell, Assassins creed was better and that got like 140somethingth.

The funny thing about this forum is that you can often tell somebody's approximate age based on what kind of comments they make about video games. Some other guy here was talking about how the Nintendo DS only has "silly little games," and sure enough he was born in 1993.

I have Dragon Age, and I'm in the village with all the refugees, and there's a good chance that that's where I'll stay, because I can't be bothered to keep playing it. It's just so fucking dull. MW2 is nothing amazing either, and if it wasn't for Special Ops I probably would have uninstalled already.
I'm so very sorry for you. I hope it never happens to me and you have my sincerist, heartfelt sorrow. If you think Dragon Age and MW2 are boring you've probably grown out of games and are playing them for nostalgia. I do suggest however, you should probably get rid of that elistist attitude. I don't mind if you think a game about collecting square gold pixels is more intesting than a rich immersive world like Dragon Age but don't think you're better than I am because I didn't play frogger when it came out.

Once you strip away the memories, or didn't have them to start with, all you have is a game with 26 colours and one objective.
