As cool as Grand Turismo and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit will be...racing games can't really ever be games of the year...unless no other games are made, they don't really have the depth required in my opinion.

I loved red dead, I mean, three playthroughs loved it. A week ago however, I got ME2 and played it for 30 hours. I love that game so much, It's perfect in almost every way. GOTY for sure.

Oh, and BTW. Red Dead was definitely a little disappointing. Great game, great story, but it got waaaay to repetitive waaaay to fast, especially considering how huge of a game it was.

Out of that list I'd say LittlebigPlanet 2 or Red Dead Redemption because everything else fucked up something. Of course LBP2 isn't out yet, so that might fuck up something too. But there definitely needs to be an "Other" option.

I don't know why everyone is drooling over Mass Effect 2. It was a joke of an RPG, and a vastly inferior game to the original.

How is that the obvious choice? It was a PC/Mac exclusive, so none of the console players even cared that it came out. I think in order to be a GotY candidate, you need more appeal. Yes, I know SC2 sold over 1M copies on day 1, but it still didn't reach the majority of the market.
