Poll: Game related tattoo?

Somebody has bought me an early christmas present (very early in fact) which is a few hours in a tatoo parlour. I have always wanted to get a tattoo so I was very pleased indeed. Having had a lot of time to think about what I might get I realised that I want something that will look good when I get old and wrinkly, I wanted it to be ambiguous and it to show of something I love, so my first thought turned to gaming. I chose this as it is from one of my favourite game series and fulfills my criterion.

So, do you think this is a good tattoo idea?

Have you ever wanted a game related tattoo? What would you have?
Have you already got one?

Some of my rejected ideas are the Paragon symbol from Mass Effect and the Tri-force.

EDIT: All of the people saying that I won't like Assassin's Creed when I'm older, I repost with this theory. I really enjoy the story of the first two games, whether I will keep with it for the next games, who knows, it could go completely crazy. Anyhow, I still enjoy stories from books I read as a child and the stories from films that I watched years ago, so this should surely apply to a game as well? Also, the design is ambiguous enough to be completely ignored as what it really is and to just think of it as a cool symbol.
Any thoughts on this?

Go for it. I'd like to get that N7 tattooed on my chest, but I'm not 100% on it.

If you like it enough then do it!!! But think very carefully. I think that the Imperial Aquila would look badass:

Get the tattoo but make sure you fix the design first, the points at the top are crooked, leaving the lines on the sides different widths.

Same, and something permanent like that... I gotta be completely sold on it before going through with it.

my friend got a symbol from Zelda, don't know what it was. He also has an ocarina, he's something of a fan.

I like your design.
And i don't see why not.
If your worried about how it would look later on, then get it small.
And you cn remove it, its usually just expensive and/or painful.
Im not sure if i would get one, just because i don't think the Metroid Emblem would look good on my back.

I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of bad tattoos besides Chinese symbols and pixies.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

For starters, if you're going to get a tattoo it should represent something at least slightly important; and in 50 years when you use a mirror to check your slag tag see it on your arm you'll realise that Assassin's Creed was a game you liked to play 50 years before and that getting the tattoo was a total waste of time, because now it doesn't mean shit to you.

Also, that design is really wonky.

Video-game tattoos are a no-no, just like video-game clothing.

Go for it dude. For every ridiculous and asinine tattoo someone else gets, I get happier about the cool stuff I've spent over 100+ hours getting permanently etched into my skin.

I hate "Chinese symbols" ,as you call them, as tattoo ideas as well, but let my get this straight:

You think Chinese symbols are stupid, yet the ambiguous characters in YOUR tattoo are OK?

I honestly don't think I would. I get tattoos to symbolise parts of my life, and I just don't think a gaming one would fit. I have been tempted to get an MGS one though, like foxhound or something, but decided against it.

If you really want it, sure, but make sure it's something that in 80 years you still will be proud of, unless you want to go through the removal process, or just let it fade away and be a waste of money.

There's only a few tattoos I myself would ever get, and none of them are game related.

first off, i dont think the ambiguous characters mean anything (they might tho), i just think the tattoo as a whole is aesthetically pleasing and holds deeper meaning

secondly, chinese symbols are pretty much the same thing as tattooing words like 'harmony', 'inner peace' or 'flaming dragon roll' on your skin except not a lotta people know what they mean, even tho its usually some generic bit ~~ and one out of maybe three tattoos are of chinese symbols.

to answer your question, yeah, chinese symbols, bar codes on the back of your neck, dragons, fairies, scratch marks, hearts with arrows thru em, anything on fire, celtic crosses, grim reapers, swords, daggers and maybe a million other generic, mundane etchings ARE indeed stupid ~~ and if ConnorCool wants a different tattoo that means something more than shit you pick out from a parlor catalog, we should tell him its a great idea ~~ theres enough people with shit tattoos already
