Wow, it's 2010 all over again.

Arise thread from the grave .... ARISE.

Just to add that no way in hell would I get a game tattoo .... and that's coming from someone with a lot of tattoo's.

There are just things you don't get on your body. Names of girlfriend/boyfriend, band names, TV show logo's and anything game related.

You may like them when you get them but in 10-20 years down the line you will regret it .... not to mention anyone who see's them will laugh .... at you, not with you.

For starters, if you're going to get a tattoo it should represent something at least slightly important; and in 50 years when you use a mirror to check your slag tag see it on your arm you'll realise that Assassin's Creed was a game you liked to play 50 years before and that getting the tattoo was a total waste of time, because now it doesn't mean shit to you.

Also, that design is really wonky.

Video-game tattoos are a no-no, just like video-game clothing.
Pretty much exactly this.
I'm a massive fan of tattoos and will be getting my first very soon but err...videogame ones...nnnnhhhhhhhhhhh.
Nnnnhhhhhhhh.

My rule is wait 10 months. If it seems like a good idea still, go for it.
EDIT:
HOLY FUCKING SHIT this thread's OLD.
The hell p.p.
Wonder if OP went through with it:p

Well I'm thinking about getting the Bioshock chains tattooed on my wrists, or at least one. And it's not really video games, but I think I'm gonna get the Atreides Hawk tattooed somewhere on my body

Also, holy shit this is a necro'd thread

Hmm 2010. I'm not going to say anything to the OP due to his last post being made in Sep 2011. But to me this all seams like a bad idea, video games come and go and all that.

I've been thinking about this for a few years and I think I've decided that I'd like to do it. I'd really like to get a WoW Horde emblem on one of my shoulders. The idea came to me when I first started playing WoW and it's been with me ever sense.

A few years ago I was considering getting Agahnim's eye symbol on my wrist, but didn't because I had a bad print of it. Not sure I'd still get it now (less to do with lack of interest, more to do with an injured wrist that probably shouldn't have more damage applied to it if at all possible).

I played Final Fantasy IX 11 years ago and it's still my favorite game so that's stood the test of time for me so I think I will be getting a tattoo related to this one day.

All tattoos will be based off something. So I dont think having a game themed tattoo is a bad thing.
Also, if you totally regret it, you can always change it or remove it.

Unless the game means really much to you, you shouldn't. You will regret it years down the line. Tattoo's should only be of things that mean a lot to you. Hell, I want to get several tattoos myself: A white tiger on my left shoulder blade and a panther on my right as a yin-yang analogy that represents my duality. Maybe my mother's name in Elvish on my chest as a fond memory to her and her love of LotR. Not a video game...I did want a tattoo of Haku-Men's emblem at some point, but then that was years ago and I don't even play Blazblue anymore. I would have totally wasted my back if I had done it.

Yeah, why not. Thing is, even long after most people have forgotten Assassin's Creed, it still looks like a pretty cool symbol. If you're confident enough that you're going to like that on you for the rest of your life (or equivalently willing to bet the cost and damage of removal surgery) then go for it.

However.

Posting here asking for other people's thoughts might indicate a feeling in the back of your mind that you aren't 100% on this. Make sure you've addressed that concern with yourself before you do it.

I'd like to get a tattoo, but I don't really have anything that means enough to me that I'd want it tattooed on me.
