anything final fantasy, just seven and ten, (or for that matter any jrpg)

I got irritated with the story becoming so whacked out and You know the times when you save the game, and you go into a boss fight and you realize that you can't win no matter what you do but you can't just reload your last save because that just takes you back to the point just before the boss fight so your screwed anyway? And your better off just starting all over again?
Yeah that happened a couple of times with me.

Mirror's edge, Dead Space and Far Cry 2.
All released last christmas! Kinda says something about 2008.
Couldn't have said it better myself, 2008 was a pretty bad year for gamers :(
A bad year? Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead?
I havn't played Metal Gear Solid 4, no interest.
Grand Theft Auto 4 was boring (as every GTA-game, don't like them)
Fallout 3, well, i don't like RPGs.
Left 4 Dead, it wasn't crap. But it got a bit repetitive after a while.

But if you like them, good for you.

Alright, 3 games for me.
1)Splinter Cell: Double Agent. I'm usually against people crying foul over a change in a series, but Ubisoft went too far in this. I don't think they left any good parts in. I've beaten Chaos Theory multiple times though, so I think that compensates.
2)Condemned 1. I like it, I just can't get back into it.
3)Zelda OOT. Got it over virtual console, same reason as Condemned.

WRPGs played:
KOTOR, Fable, Morrowind, Fallout 3
You really ought to finish KotOR 1, the ending is way better and more satisfying than KotOR 2's.

EDIT:Sorry, hit post before I remembered the Edit button.

mine are all old school...and lame...

I've finished all modern games I've played but I am haunted by level 20-Toe Jam and Earl for the mega drive.

I also never really "finished" Star Siege (old mech game for the PC) in that I have unfinished busniess with it.

Streets of Rage... me and my freind would always fire up my sega megadrive and play that game for about 12 hours only to be totally flattened by the hotel level in which all the bosses from the rest of the game were normal enemies, great game. Then we moved on to power rangers after the millionth try. happy days :)

Guitar Hero 3 because the game won't work, and there's not even a scratch on it.
The Darkness because I found out about the end and it made it feel like it wasn't worth the effort to get there.
Dead Rising, Bad Company, Halo 3, Rainbow Six Vegas, Assassins Creed, Condemned 2 - because I don't have time and keep buying new games that interest me more.
GTAIV because it's not as fun as I'd hoped and Roman annoys the PISS out of me.
CoD:WaW because my 360 got the RROD while I was attempting to finish it last week...

Not to mention I've had Dead Space for two months and have yet to open it, and I haven't even bought Gears of War 2 because I don't need anymore games until I finish some of these up.

Both Rock Band games (songs either started getting too crapy or too hard.)

I never beat Metal Arms: Glitch In The System. I got to the end and realized I needed like 20 more chips to buy the boss's death, and there was no way to get back to previous levels.
lol!

Same thing happened to me, except it was like 5 chips and I realized that there's crates to blow up on the boss map that have a bunch of chips in them, and I got enough through that.

So I ended up finishing it.

Anyway, back on topic, I uhh...

I don't know. I have so many PC games, I couldn't name 10% of them. Most of them I haven't finished, but games I have finished, most of them I have completed as well (100%).

I tend to finish games that are interesting. Some games are really good but get repetitive after a while (doom 3) so I just like level jump to the boss fights, level jump to the "hard" level...

I enjoyed games and going through them back when I didn't know what they held in store for me. Now it's like "ehh, this is getting kind of mediocre. I wonder what the rest of the game is like" and I look it up online. Or any serious purchase, I research beforehand anyway...

but one game I still think about relatively often is fucking Shenmue. I love the game. I really do.

I never finished it.

If I recall, I'm stuck at the part where Nozomi gets captured on Disc 3. Can't take the busses or call the police or steal this motorcycle that's like right there...

I refuse to look it up, or read what someone might tell me, because I plan on going back and looking around a bit more at some point. It's mildly depressing.

Let's see here...

Condemned 2. I think I did something wrong and now appear to be stuck and can't progress, and even if I could, I don't much care for the combat. Maybe it could be the game is too damn dark to see where the hell I'm supposed to go.

Dead Rising. Once I saw that I was under a time limit, that was it for me. I don't like feeling pressured to do things, I like to take it at my own pace and explore.

Assassin's Creed. It got boring, plain and simple. All the missions and towns are too much alike, the only real parts I liked were scaling the viewpoints and jumping off.

GTA IV. This game was just a big meh for me, I can't say much else.

The sad thing is, I only have about 8 games, and I'm just really bored with my 360. The only games I'm playing now are Fallout 3 and Tiger Woods 08. But, for the most part, it's collecting dust until RE5 and SF4 come out.

Half of the Zelda games I've played I didn't finish. And it's always at the same place: the last dungeon/temple/whatever. I just lose interest right before the end.

When I was a PS2 gamer I barely finished any games back when the production budget was put completely into the story mode so games like Jak and Daxter (I'm incredibly sorry about that) I never finished i usually would stop playing at one hard part of the story mode I would stop playing but since developers seem to have a cotest to see who can get aw2ay with the shortest story mode I finish pretty much all of them.

Oh man, I have the same problem (which I guess I could be reprimanded for). I've tried no less than four times over ten years to finish Link's Awakening. Furthest I've got was the 8th dungeon. Actually that's the furthest I've got EVERY TIME.
