The thing abuot Fallout 1 and 2, though, is that they are very punishing and tedious, but the story and humour, i suppose are enough reward for those who can get past all that.
Oh yeah, and i laugh at people who play Call of Duty 4/WaW and wii games (like all the shovelware/casual games, not the likes of Metroid and Zelda). Since well, they're supposed to be so amazing, yet i don't see anything amazing about either. It's just one big stinking pile of mediocrity

This. But it was so much fun I didn't care. It satisfied both my completions desires and was a really pleasant relaxing alternative to the murder simulators that comprise the majority of my games.
Metal Gear Solid 4, apparently. Everyone I know owns a 360 and makes fun of me for having a PS3, and especially for liking a PS3 exclusive. I could talk forever about how it's a good game and PS3 is a good system, but 360 fanatics (mostly teabagging douchebags in my experience) have to be THE BEST and how only their games are the best. I don't care if the 360's controller is optimized for shooters and doubles as a bludgeon in an emergency, I actually like sixaxis, pressure-sensitive buttons, and a light controller. So sue me, Tx0_Cheddar!!!
As awful as all the game magazines said it was it was fun. The level system was interesting, and the story, while being all dark and dreary, actually fit. Unlike the dark theme of twilight princess, which ruined the zelda magic for me so hard i flashbacked to Toon link with his creepy eyes and stupid boat.
That being said i can recognize most of the major flaws, such as having to get all 10 endings to get the final level and real ending, and there being only about 28 level's i think? they should have had more, if you ask me.
I can also recognize the mass appeal of Shadow in general and any game he's in. He's the dark angsty anti-hero. Somehow this makes girls wet. I will admit to being one of them. Then again I had the same reaction to Mewtwo. I'm not a furry to be clear. I don't mind them but i don't like it. Just those two. And maybe Espio.
I've also been bashed for liking Journey of Dreams. Let me clarify: it is by no means good, and the voice actor has so many people thinking hes a girl i actually cannot read fanfiction about it anymore. He is genderless. and incidentally, why was there never a question about reala's gender? he actually sounds like a guy in the second one, but hes genderless too technically. Oh dear i got off topic. Anyways its a good game if you don't want to think. Although the secret ending made me cry. i will post the reason why at the end of this. I like the soundtrack and the simpleness of it.
Lets see, what else... hm... OH YES! Quest 64. the only game that's gone against my belief that a good story makes a game. It was one of 2 rpg projects being worked on for the n64, the other being OoT. Impatient whiny children wanted an rpg NAAAUUUUUUU! so nintendo decided to axe up one project and force it out the door asap. They were liking OoT more so Q64 got the boot. It's a shame because of all its good features. Unique monsters, An awesome combat system that i've never seen used again, and of course, something else i've yet to see again, the fact that you have to work for your stats. You can't just level up and get your stats jumped nor it there a place you can train for it. To boost your speed, and thus your range of movement in battle as well, you have to utilize the space you have, moving as much as possible. To increase defense you have to take hits in battle. To power up your physical attack, use it, to power up a spell, use it. These are the only ways to increase your stats.
aaaaaaaaand finally, Hey You Pikachu. I rented it once and i loved it. I wanted to trade a game of MINE and a game me and my brother, 4 at the time, owned together. It was 2 weeks before my birthday, and she bought him his kirby superstar game instead, with MY trade in money, on top of that. She said i'd get Hey you pikachu for my birthday, but i didn't. She recently got me the cartrige for it, only because i've held it against them both for a good 8 years. and while i appreciate the gesture it does me no good without the mic, 4th player plug to make the mic work, and a working n64. The likelyhood of finding all of it today, working? and affordable to someone who had to give up a scholarship because they couldn't afford the bus pass to the school? i'll let you figure that out. Damn it now i've pissed myself off. *sigh* i guess its back to the gameboy for me. See if i cant find something to go with my mood.

In the secret "true" ending, Wizeman is defeated. and since his power was sustaining all nightmaren, including NiGHTS, He dies. Granted it was with a flourish, Bowing gracefully as he disappeared, but still. Since canon says NiGHTS, and all nightmaren, and the main villain Wizeman are dead, there will NEVER, EVER, be another NiGHTS game.

I have a brother like that. X-tards. they are to gamers what Twitards are to vampire fans. You can argue all day long that they're gamers like the rest of us, but in the end we all share the same general opinion.
Runescape anyone? i just love it but seems that the "repeatable gameplay" and the "stupidly nooby fail graphics" and "click'n'wait" content isn't something for everyone.

I got laughed at because of Sims, jeez wonder why... To be fair, everyone was hyped up over Sims 1 back then (I still like it today, but shhh, that will be our little secret). Plus, it's not really so girly to torture a bunch of simulations, right? I thought setting people on fire was cool.
Any Person who laughs at a game based on graphics... are they asian? Do they fail to see a great game by gameplay. Are they like 13y/o and never played some of the classic hits. Do they lack a good computer, and just play console?. Games like diablo is where it all started; True gamers even go back and play games like that just because it was epic. Not about 'Eye Candy', and not about the newest things. IMO, about the game and how it lives up with its plot, and category.
RPG; Epic story line, epic battles, epic plots and events that you will remember.
FPS: Fast pace, Challenging, Good story line, Nice mechanics and epic maps to play in. Also having the right features.
Strat: well, one: Lots of Strategy options, Challenging But not to complex, Variety of elements and choices.
