I like going there, I've never had a bad experience that I can think of, and I will sometimes go in there only to do something while I wait for something. Example: Last friday I was waiting for Radioshack to solder a piece of my mp3 player, to fix what happened to it. It wouldn't play music on the left side of the headphones, a piece of metal that was part of the headphone jack became disconnected to the circuit board, I needed it soldered. I had to wait until the manager left for the workers to do anything, and I had to wait at least 3 hours until the manager would leave, so I went to Gamestop just to do something while I waited.

I barely ever get anything, only because I usually don't have the money to buy anything. I get along with the employees because it's fun to chat about videogames and similiar subjects.

I like the staff at my local Game as they all know not to bother me. Its right next to where I work so I normally nip in once or twice a week quickly in my lunch break to check offers/pre-ownned and after 2 years they now just leave me alone. The only bad experience I've ever had was when I tried to pre-order a Wii about 5 months before release. I then rang up the week before to make sure they still had it and they'd managed to lose it. Thankfully another tech shop in the area had pre-orders available.

I don't have any extensive experience with Gamestop employees but they always seemed pleasant enough. Although they always recommended console only titles to me, which never did me any good. Since I buy all my games digitally, I hardly ever need to go in there.

They're too damn pushy. 'What systems do you own.' Dude, shut up.
It's a conversation starter, not only to help you find a game you'll enjoy but also to strike up a conversation. If you're seriously hating on them for something that trivial, then I think there's a deeper issue at play here.

Hell, regardless of the store, I appreciate when employees make the effort to come out on the floor to either help me or to just chat for a bit on *insert item of mutual interest*. Yeah, it might be part of the job but a good employee will make it a more pleasant experience.

I don't dislike the employees as a rule, I dislike the store and it's policies which is why I don't shop there.

In general, I like them. They're friendly, they help you out, and they'll make pleasant small talk. Plus the Gamestop/customer relationship gets much better if you're a regular at the store and what not. It's nice.

I've only met one douchebag employee at a mall Gamestop. Both a douche to his co workers and to the customers. I think he got fired, but oh well.

I've had two roommates who've worked for Gamestop, and I have a friendly conversation with a worker at just about every one I go to. I know it's a shitty job, but most of the ones I've seen have managed to do their job well and be nice to the customer.

People take way too much out on workers there, especially when it's about stuff related to company policy. They have no control over that.

this especially.

I'm nice and don't try to be judgmental, if you try to sell me shit i don't want and are persistent about it, i'll kindly leave and go across the street to the other game shop, but if your decently nice and help me along my way and maybe a couple lines or two about current gaming news, sure, i'll appreciate it.

OT: most employees i've dealt with were just trying to do their job and pass the days by, which is great, i've only encountered one fickle fellow who was so persistent about selling me shit i didn't want..When i shop for something, i damn well know what i'm shopping for and go in there for that reason and that reason only.

I only went to a GameStop shop twice, one to buy a PSP and one to trade in a dozen games for cash that barely amounted to a single new PS3 game and a half.

I haven't had unpleasantries so far, but I'd much rather be staying away from any GameStop shops after hearing from WhistleblowerZero regarding the bullshit they pulled in California.

They should be more like Home Depot employees where they actively try to avoid you. If I have a question I'll ask, idiot. Just give me a 'Hey, what's up?' and we're good.

The worst is when they have the paid advertisers talking about whatever the game of the week is. 'Dude, I totally got a Pikachu, POKEMON RULEZ!!!!!' Does that shit even work?

Didn't like 'em at the store I first went to years ago(ripped me off and had shit service) and ended up going to Game Crazy which is pretty much the same thing, but I got way better service and became friends with all the employees. When they closed I tried 3 different Gamestops. Only one came close to having the same feeling of my poor departed Game Crazy. Cool people who I've been able to talk to but unable to make friends with and who have given me free stuff(donuts and swag) a couple times.

They've been extremely nice to me every time I've gone. Sometimes--rarely--they'll strike up a conversation and they're pushy about telling me about new games and if I want to pre-order, but I understand that it's their job and won't hold it against them.

I like the employees.

Most Gamestop employees I've met have been very friendly, so I must say I rather like them. Always good with conversations and accurate opinions too.

The hell is wrong with you? Do you just look down upon all retail workers as though they were sub-human scum?

I personally never had too much of a problem with GameStop employees. There was this one instance however where I had to wait for one to help this guy sign up for some memberships or something like that. And I was wondering why there wasn't another guy to help me out. Although considering that I was the only other customer in the store at the time, I could probably see why only one guy was working.

Other then that, I've always had a mostly pleasant experience at the GameStop I go to.

It's kind of hit and miss, depending on the gamestop, the time of day, and who's in there. For the most part they're good people. When they get really busy though, it can get rough.
