Anyone who's going to take a video game and do those things in real life is a f**king idiot who shouldn't be allowed to watch the news since sometimes there are gun fights on it. You can't argue that animal rights are the main problem in COD:WaW anyways; I can think of five things worse than killing dogs in WaW right off the top of my head (also note I've only ever played the game once):
1. Stereotypes Japanese people as kamikaze freaks
2. Stereotypes Germans as Nazis
3. Killing other people=good
4. teaches you to take the initiative in killing people (singleplayer campaign=you running up in front guns-a-blazin' while everyone else waits until it's safe to cross the street)
5. guns are the only way to save you (try getting through the game without shooting people)
I'm thinking these kids are trying to get some attention and show off how much more nice and smart they are than everyone else but all it's really doing is showing off how they're missing the point. Also, this logic that people emulate video games also applies to everything else (if you accept the psychological evidence). I don't see anyone complaining about violent tv shows, violent books, violent news, or actually violent events. It seems to me like there's a remarkable inconsistency in how we apply these morals that screams of "political attacks disguised as moral outrage". I'm sure PETA is going to get behind this and make it a big ol' news f**kfest.
