Poll: Gaming time?

I wonder how much feedback this thread will get just because a mod made it?

Anyways.

During school time, maybe 1-2 hours a day with exception on weekends when it might be more. Off school it can go to 4-5 hours.

Things that prevent me from playing more is school, study, miscellaneous events and fatigue.

And not anymore games win over other events. When I was younger, yes, games turned into a priority. But I'm 19 years old now, I want to have fun through other means and not quit responsibilities over a bunch of ones and zeros.

I usually play for an hour or two a night, but that can spike. I played for about 15 hours straight when Halo 3 came out (had the day off work, went to midnight launch, played it until 4pm then fell asleep), and I probably played GTA4 for about 5 hours on the day I picked it up (that wasn't one straight session though, I had to share with my fiancee).

I got Mass Effect for PC last week, but on average it's about 1-5 hours a day. Yet, this week, is MGS4, and I'm desperately trying to finish just 1 playthrough of Mass Effect for PC before tommorow - so I've been the "10-15" recently - all I have left is Noveria...

Well I did Virmire, Feros, every bloody sidequest, I'm almost done with Noveria...but, for what THAT is worth it's probably 20 more hours. Then the council might say "OH NOES EVERYONE IS DIEING COME SAVE US SHEPARD " - making looking for the conduit completely pointless.

I didn't put that in a spoiler because it's just my prediction lol. -and I haven't even had sex with everyone yet.

I guess it depends on the time of year. During the school year, 2-5. During summer when I work, 1-2 (or less). During the summer before I get a job and during vacations, 8-10 easy.

True - go online and see the increase in players now that summer started. This goes for pretty much any game.

You won't have sex with anyone until after you've done Noveria. After Noveria you'll have two more story planets to clear before going to the location of the final battle, and you get a bunch more sidequests between now and the end as well.

well i only play games for 15-24 hours on the weekend because i got high school on the weekdays and Football on friday so i use the time to relax or get SUPER frustrated trying to find the end to the last puzzle in portal

I said 5-8 for the sake of the pole, but to be honest the number is anywhere from 1-15. It all depends on my mood, the current games I have at my disposal, my current progress in these games, whether or not I'm stuck on some part I can't be bothered to finish, or If I actually have better stuff to do, like work, or perhaps eat and sleep.

I'd say on average, between 2 and 5. Like others, it depends on the game, what else is going on in my life, and my own mood.

It used to be 5 to 8, but school (although not now cause it's summer) and work take up time, and sometimes I'm just not feeling it. Personally I don't feel like there are many games out there right now that just keep me hooked to the screen. It depends...

As for putting off other stuff, it depends entirely on if I'm playing with friends or alone. If I'm doing co-op or playing competitively with some friends, I might "call in late/sick" once in a blue moon. Other than that, I'll just pick up where I left off later.

Uh... **counts** About 3-4 hours on weekdays, and double that if I'm not busy on the weekends. Hell, if I'm obsessing, I'll probably get around 16 hours on weekends.

Things that stop me are school and meddling parents... I'd gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you damn meddling parents...

I'd like to game, and would miss quite a few things, but school, studies and friends come before it.

Oh its in a day, not a week. I said I play 10-15 in a day but don't beleive my poll vote, it is a lie. I play maybe 1-2 hours a day.

about 8 hours when I have a new game that I really like playing. Some days I only manage to squeeze in a bit of DS gaming in between other things. I've gotten better at keeping it in check, when I was jobless I played 12+ hours. Every day.

How many hours I can game and how many hours I do game are two entirely different animals, I CAN game for more than 24 hours straight, however I typically don't go for more than 2-3 hours since I usually have school work to do, or porn to download, or books I want to spend 10-12 hours a day reading.

It's been a while since I last dedicated more than two hours a day to gaming, an even longer while since I last played a game consecutively for a few days. Right now, I can manage 2-5 hours a week...
