at the end of the day, its in the game for a reason, its just another tactic, if someone manages to chainsaw me from behind, i am a bit annoyed, but kudos to them for managing to sneak up on me.

The only situation where it's an issue is when a bug occurs when your shots don't stun somebody revving the chainsaw like it's supposed to.
Like people have said before, if you can't beat "noob" tactics then you are in no place to be critiquing peoples skill at a game.

Yes its annoying since grubs can chainsaw you even when being hit and you can't use it until 3 seconds after being hit. BUT SO WHAT?! If you don't like it don't play Gears go play CoD or whatever. Why not just take everything that makes other games unique or good, like MC's armor or Gorden Freeman's Gravity Gun, or the ability to jack cars in GTA or Saints. OR --- Use strategy and find a way to get around it. And people will do whatever gets them the most kills. If using the Chainsaw gives them winning streaks then good for them and bad for you. Now how about you and your friends go somewhere where you can't ruin our good games. Jackass.

1: gears 1 is more fun and less glitchy
2: co-op splitscreen without 2 gold accounts is possible in gears 1 (cliffy b wtf were you thinking when you ditched that for gears 2)

Shotguns are deadly at short range, and you need to be stupid enough to let people get close enough to use the chainsaw, or just not see them. But it takes 2 or 3 well aimed shots to put them down with the shotty. Just use the Lancer on em and they will automatically lower the chainsaw.UNKNOWNINCOGNITO said:

Most Gears 2 players seem to think that rolling around and wildly trying to two-piece each other constitutes skill. And they get mad when other people, i.e. Lancer users, won't play 'fair'. The game ends and regardless of who wins, somebody gets called a "chainsaw ******". Rinse and repeat.
just shotgun them before they get anywhere near you, simples. chainsaw is no match for the shotgun. if they skillfully sneak up behind you and chainsaw you, then well done to them they're a good player. i can't honestly understand why you would want to make one of the coolest things ever uncool by taking the cool part out, weird.
