Geeky: Everything I do.

Non-geeky: I flirt with girls. A lot.

<------- Man whore.
Well, I've been here ten months less than you. So I say it evens out.

..And now I'm having visions of Sonic the Hedgehog being a man whore.
I still get shivers when I think about the romance in the X360 reboot... T~T

I'm probably a geek on balance, whatever that's supposed to mean...I'm still not sure which of the triumvirate of dork, nerd, and geek is considered the most socially acceptable by the general populace. (Dweeb is bad, though. I do know that.) Anyway, here goes nothing:

Geeky
-MINECRAFT! Minecraft Minecraft Minecraft...
-Not only have I racked up about 300+ hours of playtime between Oblivion, Fallout 3, and New Vegas, I actively mod for all three of them.
-I love reading. I've been clocked in a psychological study at my college as being able to read about 800 words per minute while retaining about 75% comprehension.
-I spend large quantities of my free time either modding, gaming, or reading.
-I love learning, and the general process of accumulating knowledge. By the standards of my peers, I'm considered very intelligent. (Not that that's saying much, given the average American teen...but meh.)
-I'm an absurd grammar Nazi (drifting into nerd-dom here, but once again meh.)
-I'm fairly shy.

Non-geeky
-I'm not a virgin many many times over, and currently have a lovely girlfriend.
-I'm extremely athletic.
-I'm a drummer, currently playing with a White Stripes-y rock group.
-I have a very substantial circle of friends.
-I hate almost all MMO's, and I hate what they do to my friends who play them.
-I enjoy getting uproariously drunk.
-I'm actually quite charismatic when I want to be. (usually preceded by the uproariously drunk bit.)
-I love live music, love going to (mostly punk) concerts, and love moshing and skanking my heart out at 'em.

So yeah...I'm pretty geeky, but I think I balance it out fairly well. Iunno, though...it's kinda hard to make a value judgment when all I'm working with are stereotypes.

I guess I do a bunch of things that would be considered 'traditionally' geeky and nerdy, but I don't like to label. Geek means so many different things to different people, and it's far too difficult to classify in such a broad manner.

I'm a fast learner
Good with computers

Non-Geeky:

Dont't own any "geeky clothes" i.e. t-shirts with gaming slogans
Play Guitar
Like doing manual work, such as building and fixing things
I have a toolbox
I've had an account on this site for two years and my post count is ridiculously low

I don't like WOW at all, or any MMO for that matter
Have no problem socialising with people mostly

{1} No.

{2} Rather than try to nail down every little thing I do, I'm going to just explain why I don't fit in the category. You see, there are a number of things that I like that geeks do and do not like. That's probably true for everyone. Comparing the two sides isn't enough. What you need to do is find yourself a confessed geek and compare yourself to that person and his likewise friends. If you see yourself as much like them, then you might just be geeky. But if you see an obvious separation, where they're actually weirder than you are, then you're probably not. I am a savvy person, but my brother is a definite geek. More to the point, I have alot of friends from college who are. Trust me when I say I'm not on any of their level.

I like Metal
I do computer programming
I work at a computer repair shop
I play video games 2-3 hours a day. (Well, more now that I'm on break)

So I fit basically every stereotype for a super-geek.
