I haven't seen one as far as i know in a while but i fucking hate Beat-em-Up games.
Yeh i also hate them. Street fighter, tekken, soul calibor etc, They are all the same game, just different characters. Played one played em all.
Well i still think some of them are fun but these games where you play as one guy and repeatedly mash one button to take out like 50 enemies in like a min are annoying.

I'm just getting tired of RTSs lately. They've been a favorite genre of mine for ages, but, I guess I've just had my fill or something.

I've never been an FPS fan, so I'm kinda confused at how people still keep buying them, playing them and raving about them. Surely there's a limit to the amount of fun you can have with such a limited genre.

As far as music games go, I'm happy as long as they keep releasing new songs. Whether it's as full games or DLC packs, I don't care. It'd be nice if they'd stop dicking around with new game mechanics, particularly when they're only adding them because they feel they have to rather than because they're needed or wanted, but that's possibly just me.

Really, the thing that endlessly confuses me is the entire sports genre, but particularly things like FIFA, Madden, etc. I've had a few FIFA games over the years, and the only appreciable difference between one game and the next is lineup changes, particularly so now that we're at the point where graphics can't really get much better. Since I'm reasonably sure that lineup changes and such could be added via patch or DLC, releasing a whole new game every year seems massively redundant.

I think I got tired of rhythm games. I understand they're still fun and whatever but I just can't see the point in spending money on a full-fledged band ensemble that costs half the price of a console or whatever.

sports: i never really bothered with them so i would say less of being tired of the genre but more of it becoming a high pitch whisel in the back of my ear the main reason for this is fiffa games because each year they say how much they have change scense the last installment. But when it comes down to playing the game it just feels just like any other football game plays like any other football game the main reason for this because its just anouther football game lol the only thing that seems to change that i can see is graphics and if i dont feel that the game play its the hole you cant polish a turd motto to come into play. for a game that cost on average about 40 pounds where i can buy a football for about 5 pounds and actaully play the game then i would rather do that.

see i saved myself money and its good for me.

FPS oh look theres another indistinguishable floating gun and arms walking along endless copies of WWII, Iraq, grey metal corridors full of power armoured space marines. I really think FPS are holding the gaming industry back at the minute all they ever do is rip off the same engine, up the graphics and realism and fall back on that crowd, your buying the same game people!

MMO-Supposedly-Rpgs. I'm sick of even hearing of them. I wish they would disappear entirely. Then again, they sell well (Well some of them) so maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea.

Edit: Argh! Double post! Sorry guys. :(

Both Guitar Hero and Madden/MLB/Fifa etc. can both go suck a rail as far as I'm concerned. I think Rock Band was doing it right for a while, release a big upgrade every few years then release DLC with songs and stuff like that. Guitar Hero seems to be milking it for all it's worth though. Same with Madden. It'd be hard to tell the difference between Madden 10 and Madden '06 as far as gameplay is concerned.
