I typically like more feminine, slender guys. A little bit of muscle can sometimes be nice, but just to the point where it just contributes to the shape of their body and gives them some "tone", not where it actually makes them bigger.

But really, I'm not too picky. Personality and the general vibe a person sends off makes a huge difference.

I'm actually probably quite different from most guys, as in that I don't want to build muscle and instead want a skinnier, more girly body.

I'm into guys that aren't like totally stacker but have like slight abs sort of like this picture.

So basically, a little bit of tone but nothing that drastically changes their overall "shape".

I like muscly celebrities to look at but when it comes to dating I prefer skinny nerdy guys. But not Michael Cera. He looks too... wet.

I'm not surprised by a lot of the responses in this thread. Most girls (at least in my experience) when they look at photos they will choose a body like Brad Pitt's in fight club as their favourite. In person though the answers are often a lot different, with the heavier much more muscular bodies (Zyzz, Ben Cousins) are more often favoured.

I'll take have a guess and say why this happens is because the more muscular guys have a much more confronting presence. Robert Pattinson looks like a regular guy when clothed, proffessional AFL players don't.

OT: Dunno why girls like the 'Michael Cera' type so much. He seems weedy and useless to me, like a strong win would knock him on his arse :I

If it's because he does so many love movies that girls think people who look like him will be nice and sensitive, well... that would be a bit naiive :S
My guess for girls here liking him would be because he fits their niche. He comes across as nerdy, which to be honest a lot of us here, male and female are.

He's been in several movies so it's not like he's ugly either.

He looks like he just sniffed his own fart.

OT: This is just a question of fitness, and if a guy really wanted to he could go to the gym and work out. On the other hand girls can't help what kind of tits they have, which I'm certain was the basis of that random poster's complaint. A better comparison would be a thread entitled "what penis size do you prefer?"

Really built guys with more muscle than brains are not attractive to me. I don't really care if a guy has muscle or a belly (I have been with both) to me it's more about how they treat you (I'm not talking about buying you stuff) and that you can have a laugh and be yourself around them.

I don't really like muscular men, it just makes me think they love themselves a bit too much.
Don't particularly like Michael Cera type of bodies either. No offense to anyone like that, but I like my men to actually look like men and not 16 year old boys.

Seth Rogan is rather cute. (Don't tell anyone, shhh.) I like something to cuddle and keep me warm. Not Parvorotti(sp?) sized men, but something with a bit of meat on their bones.
Maybe because I'm rather fat too. It'd just look odd, fat me with a muscular or a really skinny man.

Girls can help what kind of breasts they have..

And the emboldened comment made me laugh my ass off, it's so true!

Any guys who want the golden "slight abs but not enough to look like he's worked out", do what I did, which was for 4 months do 100 situps and 50 press ups every evening (obviously work your way up to it). Now I have a bit of definition, and it literally took no effort or cost :D

I don't really know that I have a particular type, it really just comes down to the individual and whether I like that body type on them, I find differnet things attractive in different people moreso than looking for a particular archetype if that makes sense.

I don't like really muscular guys, but I don't like really skinny guys, either. I would probably break them. I prefer the average body type, maybe a little bit of muscle.

to be honest I dont set alot of requirements (that said I havnt had much experience)

but if I had to set a requirement its NOT being fat, and by that I actually dont mind a little stockyness/tubbieness

what i mean is if your fat to the point of your body takes on that "gender neutral" not quite masculine, not quite feminine shape...might not happen to everyone...but I think you get the Idea

I'm attracted more towards the girlier guys (build wise, not personality) and I also LOOVE traps O_O that would be an amazing relationship me thinks.
Traps as in
?

Also "masochistic alignsw" Is Captcha trying to tell me something?
Ahhh I see, still not sure how she is a trap but i see what you are going for
the original design document had her as female, but the designers didn't think that would go over well in the U.S. (they thought hitting women would cause giant media scandal) so they made him a crossdresser, didn't change the art though, so we get a hella sweet trap (somehow ignoring normal gender roles was supposed to go over better?)
...

Right...

I was curious what you meant by that, and I'm afraid I was right.

It's unfortunate though that being considered a 'trap' is seriously insulting to those of us it technically applies to...

(Also, poison has variously been attributed as being female, a crossdresser, a transsexual, and the Japanese term 'newhalf'... Given that these are all distinct things with their own issues and circumstances that don't necessarily have much in common... One character being variously considered all of these things shows how little actual awareness there is of the issues involved.
Oh, and you've gotta love the twisted logic that says: "You can't hit women. Oh, it's ok... She's not actually a woman.". Because who cares about the idea of violence directed at a small minority group that suffers above average amounts of harassment and assaults even without extra encouragement...)

Ehm... Wow, that's way too serious. XD

If you'll excuse me, I'll be over there... Trying to blend in with the 'normal' people. ;p

I've written this post asking for a female point of view, mostly because that's the way I'm inclined (and partially because it's easier to write these questions across a gender divide) but if any guys want to comment/poll feel free.
... these are my choices?

Um... of those... Michael Cera, I guess. He's kinda cute.

I wouldn't really hold up Statham as an icon of the male body. Too... bald.

Also, where's the option for Isaiah Mustafa? You want an icon of male hotness? Him. He's my choice.
