I just want to see old games with new skins so that its easier to see whats going on, and give me another reason to replay them. If they remade Thief or Thief 2 with brand spanking new graphics everyone would jump on that soooooo fast.

If star wars republic commando was remade, or if they ever make that sequel that was totally set up at the end and never materialized, I would shit my pants. It would be awesome.
I FUCKING LOVED THAT GAME! It seems like i can never meet anyone who even remembers that that game existed!

I would love that because in my mind it would not be a remake just because we can make it look pretty it is making it look pretty to tell the story to a generation of gamers who missed it. For example, Ocarina of Time was such a compelling story in terms of seeing your actions as a kid affecting the future. revisiting old locales and seeing the terror that Ganondorf's rule created. And seeing people change over time, especially the sage's who i connected to. re releasing that game to massive hype to the newest generation of gamers with shiny new graphics and everything would be the shit. I know if i had missed out on it i would like for it to be re released instead of playing it on some shitty emulator like project 64 especially if the remake enhanced the graphics and all.

I would love to see Final Fantasy IX done with crispy HD graphics. Keep all the effects the same, but redo them to look better, basically. And keep the complete lack of vocals. I don't need some crappy voice actor ruining my favorite characters. And Shadow of the Colossus. That would make my life.

I'd like to see Morrowind remade with the engine that Oblivion used (not just the graphics).

I enjoyed the Radiant A.I. and physics that the Oblivion engine possessed. However, I didn't like how NPCs leveled up with you. So, Bethesda can leave that out of my hypothetical Morrowind remake. ;)

Depends on the game for me. I'd love to see Earthworm Jim updated to HD standards, but games like Crash Bandicoot: Warped have a certain charm in their low res style.

However, I would like to see/be a part of a Mass Effect trilogy remake about 15 years down the road. So worth it :D

This comes up all the time.

Say we take a game, Goldeneye for the 64 in this case, and deck it out with the shiz graphics and all that neat stuff.

Now we have crap AI, Physics, Geometry, Controls, and Story with a coat of gloss paint.

Man, that sounds totally awesome. /sarcasm.
i think the thing here is that the old classic games we love were absolutely brilliant because at the time they were the best around. If they ever remake the classics they would hav to up everythin about it, essentially makin a whole brand new game in the series... kinda pointless...

what they should do is make the classics available to be bought in bundle packs so you can still get them and play them (iv got an old win 95 game that refuses to work on xp)
What game is it? Just out of curiosity.
yeh it was warcraft 2. a little sad... yes but as a kid i absolutely loved that game, that n spyro, crash n jak n daxter

As much as I fucking hate MGS I would like to see games like KOTOR come back
This, so much this. I want KotoR to be remade, I don't care if it's the same damn game, I just want to play KotOR on my 360 without it being glitchy as hell.

Shadow of the Colossus.

The graphics have definitely aged. You can't tell me that desolate wasteland and those colossi wouldn't just look lovely with a modern touch up.
Hells yeah. Been wanting that since I played it. Also - Deus Ex... and no, not Deus Ex 2 blahh.

Nope. Games that were great when they were made don't need to be updated. Simple as that in my opinion.

I think it's good as long as they don't get it into their heads that they can tamper with the mechanics/music/story. The mod for dragon age that lets you play Baldur's Gate 2 with enhanced graphics sounds good but I will be forced to commit murder if they change anything in it (I doubt they will since it is made by fans).

Warcraft 2... hmm I think that's become freeware now. I recommend googling it to find a free download.

I had the same problem. I had a win98 copy of Warzone 2100, that would not run. I found a freeware downloadable version recently. Runs fine on XP.

Yeah actually I Would.

I'd like to revisit Half Life 1 if it had a graphics overhaul.

Come one black mesa source! We're waiting!
