Alright, alright... The festival season has been underway for a little bit now, but it's still fairly early in the season. At least, in The Netherlands.

So, what are your plans? I'm usually a big festival hog with going to at least 2 festivals each summer. This year is gonna be a bit different though. Due to massive shortage on time I can only attend one.

And the only one I can go to -time-wise- is the Pinkpop festival in The Netherlands. Not a big deal though, I've been there for the last 6 years and it's always a blast! It's got a decent line-up this year and the atmosphere as always crackin'. But with the likes of Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Deadmau5, Bloody Beetroots, Graffiti6, Ash, Volbeat and De Staat, I think my musical appetite will be satisfied.

And besides, who DOESN'T want to see Hanson live at least ONCE?

MMM-BOP! :p

I always try to get to Bluesfest every year, around Easter.

And then there's St. Jerome's Laneway. That's always a fun one. Apart from that, I really can't be bothered with the stress of trying to get tickets to everything.

Yep, i'm going to the annual Roskilde Festival. The biggest festival in Scandinavia.

The festival is even sponsored by the biggest beer company in Denmark, so i'm sure i'm going to consume a lot of it as well.

Ohh, and i'm going to the Copenhagen Jazz Festival as well. I'm going to at least two concerts there.

Already went to one. I was supposed to go to WoA with my sister last year because of a promise that she made me 4 years ago, but she broke it.

None of the festivals I typically go to are in the summer. Except maybe the Camden Crawl and Freedom of the City, neither of which I'd count as festivals in the sense relevant to this thread.

This summer I have (so far) booked in:

- Sweden Rock Festival (SRF), Rock and Metal for four days. Looking forward to: Rob Zombie, Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Joan Jett, Black Label Society, Iced Earth, just to mention some.
- MetalTown, Metal-festival for two days. Looking forward to: System of a Down, Korn, At the Gates, Cavalera Conspiracy, Meshuggah, Arch Enemy, All That Remains and Avenged Sevenfold.
- Peace and Love-festival, a whole week of entertainment (though I will be working there). Looking forward to: Bob Dylan (more than anything this year), Journey, Social Distortion, Ziggy Marley, Bad Religion, Foreigner, Jimmy Eat World and The Haunted.

More may come up, but these are what I have so far.
I can't think of any other festivals in Europe that could offer line-ups that could compete with these three festivals. Or well, Grasspop, but they have about the same line-up as SRF and MT put together so I won't count that.

SunFest just finished up in Florida. It's never been the best (a good weekend in Miami may shore up more headliners) and feels more like a cash grab than anything, but anything in Florida is a party and that's exactly how it feels.

Actually 4 of them if you count the end of May as summer.

Metalfest Austria
Death Feast Open Air
Wacken Open Air
Summerbreeze Festival

So much fun!

Nothing interesting at the moment, all the big festivals here (Reading Fest, T In The Park, Glastonbury, etc.) are filled with bands I either have no interest in or just can't stand the sound of.

I don't mind waiting until someone I like puts on a concert, but there's still the MCM Expo to look forward to.

Roskilde has a terrible lineup this year, unfortunately.

Might stop by Slottsfjellfestivalen or Øya (Aphex Twin!), though.

Probably getting dragged to Warp Tour.

I'd love to go see the Way Out West tour, hit it off with some DIY punk.
