Thankfully it's gold plated and not gold cast.
Thanks to the hand craft of Goldbeating, it would be possible to coat that entire boat with only a few ounces of gold (maybe a pound) spread very very thin, since gold is an absolutely malleable material.
If it was cast gold, it would weigh significantly more (since it would be heavier than making it out of lead) and would require far more material in order to work. I laugh at the notion that the boat carries 100,000kg of gold (1100 short tons) because that would probably be more than half of its entire displacement and probably would sink.

But since 4.3 billion dollars would be enough to build and support a small space station, I can think of many thousands of things I would rather do than buy an exorbitantly wasteful yacht that is liable to be stolen by pirates.

That would be really annoying to keep clean. Plus that top photo looks shooped. I couldn't imagine keeping a gold plated boat clean lol.
Hmmm. Well it looks surreal, but that could be the gold there.

And isn't gold like nobel metal. I think it would be easier to keep clean than less noble metals or plastics or whatnots.
Reason I say it looks fake is because:

1. It is the only picture of the actual hull on the internet that I can find.
2. It looks like it was placed on to the picture. Where the water is breaking under the boat seems to me like it is going pretty fast and of course by the big wake behind it.

The reason I say it would be a ***** to clean is because they type of metal doesn't matter when plant life and barnacles start growing on it. Where the salt water may not affect it plant life will. Since Gold is so soft you will have to be very delicate about chiseling that shit off.
Oh yeah... Actually gold is good in attaching bio stuff. And it is true that it would be nasty to clean in, but as its gold, you could use nearly any solvent, which you can not use with other hull types :) Very usefull... But a bit expensive.

Silly OP, why would I choose to make myself a target of pirates?

I would instead build a normal super-yacht, and cover it with a full compliment of the worlds finest fire-arms. Then I would use THAT yacht to steal the $4.3-billion gold/platinum yacht.

Epic posing upon the forward bow ensues.
