We've all said it. "YOU'RE THE BEST DOG IN THE WORLD!"

But is he?

Time to come clean, Escapist dog owners. What's your dog REALLY like?

My dog is a royal pain in the ass. I've never said he was the best dog in the world, because friends and relatives own better dogs. He's not terrible, but his behaviour is erratic. One moment you think he is calm and collected, the next he's barking and howling for its own sake.

I would give him away, but my fiance would not like that very much.

My dog died quite a while ago... admittedly she was actually my Dad's dog.

And she was the most cynical ***** (read: female dog... not [insert insult here] woman!) on earth. I swear she would roll her eyes whenever I acted like an idiot (and seeing as how she died before I was eight, that was all the damned time!).

My first dog was a austrailian shepard and I loved him alot her was pritty perfect. He was super friendly esspecially with kids but was also very agressive if sombody was comming onto our property and was suspicous which might not sound good but its nice to know he was there to protect us he was also a great fighter he got attacked on a couple occasions and completly locked down the other dogs by the throat. I was super sad when he died I still miss him. We got another dog after that a boarder collie which my mom loved very friendly and wimpy he was increadably affectionate and retarded fast he had a racing dogs build he had a heart attack one day while on a walk when he was about 5 the vet couldnt explain why. Now we have a little terrier who is very effectionate but can never make up her mind its funny at first but after the 15th time spinning getting ready to poo in the blazing heat it gets old and we have another boarder collie who is funny because hes really jumpy but very playful once hes used to you one time he brought me around 50 stuffed animals because I kept refusing to play catch.

What about an option for those without dogs? Or those who have dogs which really do fart rainbows!

My dog is a lazy little spoiled brat, though I still love the hell out of him of course. He can be a complete pain in the ass, and he can be downright nasty if he doesn't like someone(especially kids and certain dogs). But he also likes to cuddle and he's terrified of my little Lovebird.

My baby girl is a black lab, and she's put up with me for 14 years, so she's a saint. Unless I'm eating, in which case, she drools until I give her some. Otherwise, she's the sweetest thing you ever met. She does not, however, fart rainbows. Luckily, I have fans.

Ours is pretty excitable whenever people come to the house but otherwise just lies around doing nothing. It's cool having him around for company but he's impossible to play games with, won't even fetch...

My dog is the bestest dog in all the world! She is absolutely adorable, and she does lots of tricks and is generally awesome all of the time.

Mine is awesome. If I point at someone and say "Kill!" He'll instantly get rid of his good behavious, and snarl bark and try to bite the person.

He's 10 years old, and still plays like he was 1. He's understands almost everything we say to him, he can sort out when we're kidding and when we're being serious and he understands not only commands, but also when we tell him to do something he's never done before.

Only thing I would like better is if he could shit rainbows, talk, fly/use magic, have a cutiemark and be a pony.

*sigh*

He's.....traumatized.

See, we adopted him from my friend when said friend's mother died of leukemia and he had to move into a smaller place with his step dad. This way, my friend still gets to see him when he comes over here, you know? Better then him going to some random person.

But Goofy(the dog, if you couldn't guess) never really adjusted to life here. He just sits in this little bathroom all day. He'll come out if you call him, but after a while he'll always go running back to his corner. It's actually really sad. We do the best we can, but I get the sense that this is never going to be his home, not really.

Wow, that was kind of a downer. Sorry about that, guys.

The dog that I semi-own is a retarded little fuzzball. I often tell him he's an idiot in the little baby voice I seem to use with animals.
