Poll: GTA 4 or Saints Row 2?

simple quiz, what do you prefer in your sandbox game? whiny eastern european gangster with super serious graphics or cartoony graphics but an altogther more cheerful game?

I did enjoy GTA IV loads, and I mean LOADS, but Saints Row 2 beats it on the fun-o-meter. Also like one review said "Saints Row 2 takes GTA's gameplay, flips it on it's side and rolls it down a hill with ninjas. Lots and lots of ninjas." It's simply more fun.

I thought the graphics where pretty much the same for both games, mind you i've only seen the tv trailers for saints row 2 (and they always look better then when you acctualy come to play it).

Personaly i don't indend to get saints row 2 so i prefer GTA IV (even if my view is a bit biased)

Saints Row 2 is just more fun for me and while a lot less realistic, I don't really play games solely for realism so it doesn't bother me.

GTA IV was such a masterpiece that I'd be surprised if Saint's Row can even come close. Having said that, the number of people that have voted for it is intriguing, I'll definitely have to give it a try now.

I enjoy SR2 - My impressions are still undecided about how actually good it is. I mean it's FUN undoubtly but the grinding in between missions to get enough respect points to progress seems a bit pointless (like the wii game No more heroes) and there's just so many activities and shops on the screen it feels a bit overwhelming - still once you decide where you've got to go and get playing it's hilarious....So while the storyline in GTAIV seems definately more immersive, Saints Row 2 is just low brow hilarious fun.

Also, I may have casted my vote for SR2, but that doesn't mean that we should forget that they are completely different games, the only real similarities are an open world and crimes.

Yes but i like to think of them as the children of the early GTA games, one going a more serious route and the other taking things even more outlandish and over the top. Like their cousin crackdown.

I personally hail GTA: SA as the best of this so-called "genre".
And I did not enjoy GTA 3. VC was good, but didn't keep me playing for long.

Both brilliant, and Saints Row 2 is crazier but GTA 4 is more realistic and I have played them since the original so I have to say I enjoyed it more.
