Poll: Guitar Hero World Tour

I support Rock Band 100 times more than I do Guitar Hero but what's up with those poll options, eh? You should try to give your argument a little bit more of a solid foundation before you post something like this.

You should also spell Aerosmith correctly.

I never claimed this to be any sort of review, and i didn't post any real reasons cause you can all, obviously, think of those yourselves. These were the reasons i started to hate GHWT for. back when i found out about it months ago. i never personally looked into the rest of it tho, cause i never did plan on getting it. I do believe i have the right to post all the stupid posts i want. yes i realize they are the same creators. also, i was in one of those moods when i posted this. My friend got the money together and said "would you rather me get GH or RB" he knew what my answer would be cause he knew how i felt bout GH. so he went got that anyways. ok his money. he can do what he wants. but then both him and his sister get pissed off at me because i refuse to play it, which i told them i would before they wasted the money. "but we have 3 instruments, we need 3 people" well they should have gotten a game i would have liked to play. so it was just a simple minded rant. i realize this, and well, too bad. i will post stupid rants all i want. and i dont care if you like it or not. and i spelt aerosmith wrong cause im not an aerosmith fan, so i cant be expected to know how to spell it right. and of course the poll options arent "fair". it was a rant. rants are one sided. therefore shouldnt the poll be onesided?

You know, I clicked on this topic expecting something completely different that what I recieved. I expected to give my opinion and be respected for it since I assumed by the title that this topic was full of folks discussing a valid, thought out opinion about the new Guitar Hero.
I suppose I was wrong.

I mean it's cool you don't like the game but you're poll options are ridiculous and your reasoning for everything is just as absurd.

It's obvious Guitar Hero had to compete with Rock Band to stay in the game but, in my opinion it's getting tired already. People (like you I'd assume) have a complete biased love for Guitar Hero which blinds them from Rock Bands huge and overall better set list.
On top of that, the makers of Rock Band were the same as the folks who made Guitar Hero 1 and 2 (Harmonix).

I mean, I have World Tour and I wouldn't think twice about selling it if not for the fact that it has one or two cool songs. I could care less about playing the most difficult song; I'm not that good nor do I ever plan to play songs like Through the Fire and Flames on expert, but GHWT has a few songs that are just good.

Like seriously, if Rock Band got the rights to and put in Hotel California by the Eagles I'd trade in my copy of GHWT and not think twice about it.

Im posting this because 1) i dont know if anyone else has done one yet, and its just easier to post one rather than go through all the pages looking for it. and 2) i despise world tour with a passion.

I dont hate guitar hero in general. in fact i loved 1,2, rock the 80's, 3, and arrow smith. they were awesome! but then this piece of garbage comes out claiming to be in the guitar hero lineage.

The thing about guitar hero was not to get 3 or 4 people together and play. its meant for one or two people at most. the whole point of guitar hero was to focus on the guitarist or bassist. so wtf is there a drummer and a singer for? the fact that they ripped of rock band matters not to me. if people didnt rip other people off in this world there would be no decent competition

By calling it guitar hero, they are lying to my face, and i hate being lied to. especially by inanimate objects. cause now no one cares about the damn guitar, its all about the band. if they can rip off the equipment, why cant they call it band hero? cause thats what it really is.

so to the people who made guitar hero world tour, i hope you die long painful sorrowful deaths for disappointing me and any one else who has a brain to realize that GHWT is a bunch of garbage.

You must not know a lot about video games. For years before the first GH game was ever released on PS2 there were tons of "band" type arcade games including guitar, bass, drums, vocals, etc, sometimes in one arcade cab unit. Rock Band was not the first game to do what it did, thus GHWT wasn't a rip-off of it.

The problem with World Tour is it has a stream of crap songs (The Joker... yuck) before you hit some good ones, then more crap before the next good ones and so on.

I didn't like World Tour as much as Legends of Rock for example. Did anyone else not recognise 90% of the songs, or am I just not "down with the kids" when it comes to modern music? lol.

I wouldn't get the entire band set either, as I think it's a bit over-priced at £150, but no-one is forcing you to get the whole set, why don't you buy it with just the guitar?

This poll makes no sense. You can't knock Activision for going to the full band set, because if it didn't then everyone would knock it for being dated and not as good as Rock Band. I have GH:WT and RB, and while RB has a better song list for casual gaming in my opinion, World Tour has the better equipment (drum cymbal issues aside.)

So, based on the logic that people are complaining about a review I apparently wrote somewhere, in invisible text or something, people are in fact, idiots. Also there are those of you who are complaining about my poll. but look. You still choose an answer. it wasnt meant to be serious, i admit it's one sided, that was the point. When have rants ever been two sided. People rant, and then they are done. If you dont like my poll, then dont take it. it's that simple.

Plethora of things to discuss here. First, why did you necro your own thread from nine months ago? That is not goo dby this sites standards. Secondly, you posted it in the review section. That is why people thought it was a review. Third, do not insult users. Name-calling is not tolerated, or mature for that matter. Fourth, Rants allow for little discussion, as it is just someone coming in, spouting off their opinions, and leaving. It's good to have opinions, but please, you have to have some discussion beyond "do you agree with me?"

Prepare for many more responses like this, if this thread isn't closed soon, which it should have been from the start.

What i found strange is that Guitar hero world tour is totally compatible with the rockband instruments. even the drums which only has one less button thingy but it just instantly adjusts to work for it.

If you dont like guitar hero just go play GTA or COD or whatever you actually enjoy playing.
