their ok games. the problem is the games are just so casual. i beat the first 3 levels on easy with the pistol

Reach, combat evolved, and wars were really the only ones I liked at all and Reach just edged out combat evolved as my favorite.
Currently, Halo: Reach takes my #2 spot for best game ever, (It replaced halo 3). But I picked "I love them all" becuase I really do love them all.
Halo CE was that awesome. the storyline was great. and when people first saw the flood they were like "WTF is that?" (i know i was)
I used to only like Combat Evolved of the Halo games, but now I have to give the title of "Favorite Halo game" to Reach. I did not like Halo 2 or 3 as I found their stories to be lacking and I never gave a damn about Earth or the humans. Reach is what Halo should have been striving for all along because it does so much right!
*The Covenant actually are not "humanized" and let you know that they are an advanced threat. Their use of technology to attack Reach so surreptitiously sets up an eerie milieu because the Covenant feel so alien.
*The narrative, characters, and touch of personalization drew me immediatetly, building a connection. The Halo trilogy (CE included, sadly) failed to connect with me on a personal level.
*Reach does not make me a misanthrope! As Covenant forces launch rounds of plasma, my human allies scream out in terror. The previous games... well, let's just say "Catch one and ride it!" does not make the Covenant seem dangerous, and it makes me want to throw a chair at the soldier that just said that.
*Level design is varied and fun with great locales so far. I have yet to feel "out of place" going from one mission to the next, something I also attribute to a more seamless story relating to the world.
I could go on, but the point is that Reach has me truly impressed. And I am not, repeat, NOT a big fan of Halo by any stretch, so I enjoy Reach for being a good game period. Combat Evolved was my first Xbox game that I greatly enjoyed and now Reach, Bungie's farewell to Halo and MS, completes the circle perfectly.

Halo 1 and 2 were the best, 1 defiantly, it was after all genre defining, taking over from goldeneye. I think Halo 3 is actually worse for not only the fact it was so easy as to be laughable, but the fact it was on the 360. Which ruined the online experience somewhat as all the PS2 kids suddenly discovered what "online" was when not related to facebook. After that I think they really just phoned it in.

I played Halo 1 years and years ago. When it came out, my best mate got it with an xbox, so we stayed up all weekend playing it in co-op. It fucking blew our minds.
Then I played Halo 2 and later on, Halo 3 and I lost complete interest. Me and my same friend played both of them in co-op and we were hugely underwhelmed, so we just lost interest.
