Evade fits my style more than a jet pack (something I would never use), active camo is pretty nice, but unless it lasts forever it isn't worth it, I'm patient enough to not need sprint, and no idea what the armor one is, but it sounds like a defensive trait. I'll stick with evade.

I would probably go with either camo or sprint; sprint more so since I'm so used to playing CoD and Battlefield. Camo is nice though since I like to assassinate people.

I would go for Invisibility, it can be used offensively. defensively and for evasion techniques.

Very useful.

[sub]Armor abilities are reminding me of that Red Vs Blue season with the AI's...

Perhaps a "Meta/juggernaut mode"? [/sub]
Like the Juggernaut mode in the previous Halo multi-player? I don't think it's available in the beta, but I imagine Bungie will keep all the old favourites and put them in Reach, it would be silly not to.

Imagine a Juggernaut flying towards you on a jet-pack..."any last words before I stomp on your head??"
The juggernauts in Reach are on fire, it's hilarious. Maybe you can set someone on fire by dry humping him to death.

On fire!? That's awesome!? Where did you find this out? Do you have a link to the article/video?

It's in a couple gameplay vids. It seems to be only presented in Powerhouse, or at least most of the time. You can see it in "Halo Reach Carnage Carnivale" from 0:20 - 0:22 section. The video can be found on IGN, 1up, Gametrailers, etc, even on xbox live marketplace. I'm too lazy to put the links, but it's not hard to find them.

I'm going to have to say active camo because I love stealth games and find the idea of sneaking behind enemy lines undetected and then assassinating all of them irresistible.

From what I hear, evade is something exclusive to the Elites, so it's not so much an armor ability as it is a bonus for being an elite.

Other than that, I'm tied between Sprint and Active Camo.
Yes evade is exclusive to the elites, but it is still an armor ability since you can only use it if you choose it as your armor ability. so you can't have evade AND cammo at the same time.
Its the same for sprint, its exclusive to the Spartans but you can't have sprint and armor lock at the same time either.
heard that armor lock is also spartan only, but don't quote me on that :p

and personally i choose armor lock ^_^

I'm probably not getting Halo Reach, but a sprint feature definitely sounds like the most balanced and needed feature. I can't believe they've made 4 games without it.

You might want to put in ()'s next to Armor lock and sprint that they're Spartan only while evade is elite only.
I prefer the elite weapons, so while sprint would be more useful for energy-swording, I have to go with evade.

sprint...it offers the ability to catch up which in most objective based game types is very important. But it really depends on how fast it is and if you can use weapons while using it. I would like to sprint to catch up to an escaping warthog, or at least try to cut it off and then stick it with a grenade.

In ts maybe something different.

Invisibilty becomes less effective when you move, with lots of shimmering in the air apparently. It's best used for setting up ambushes or going invisible once you've ducked behind something if they don't know you have invis.

I know...it's about time Halo had a sprint function, both sprint and evade would be good defensively and offensively on a close quarters scale. I think the jet pack is for those who want to get to the good sniping positions and rain down terror for above. It will probably make traversing large maps a lot easier too.

The jet pack sounds fun but I'm really looking forward to the active camo. I always loved sneaking around and now I'll be able to do it more often. I'm hoping it will be like the spy's cloak in TF2, if not better. Armour Lock sounds really annoying. I can just imagine you're shooting a guy and then he suddenly armour locks and you get killed by someone else.
