I have to say, I thought this game would turn out to be complete junk. All of my friends, however, it was all they talked about. The demo really surprised me; however, it may get stale after enough play time.

One of the more fluent RTS games for the xbox 360, it's not great but it really does show up all the other 360 RTS games.

i agree. it's not too bad, but it gets old after a bit.

i'm still annoyed at the lack of a Shift+Click ability on the controls, but at least it all works.
you might also find combat easier if you just use the 'y' button to give all your commands. it simplifies everything so much

I Played the demo.
I never really liked RTS games or even Halo that much for that matter.
But playing the Demo... It was some of the most fun I've had with a game in a while.
I loved it. I'm waiting for some reviews before I think about purchasing it.
If you haven't played DO IT!!!

After hearng it would be designed specifically for 360 controls I tried to keep an open mind for this, rather than dismissing it outright on the basis that it was a console RTS. So I made sure to check out the demo.

My opinion after trying it? It seems like it would be an alright RTS, but the whiners were right about this one: you can't do RTS without a mouse for input. It's just too restrictive.

Only played the demo but it worked fine. I only miss the opportunity to be more specific about the troops I would want to select. If you could be able to only select marines or warthogs for example, when you mark the troops you want with the blue circle, I would have been happy.

I wouldn't take my opinion very seriously, as I just seem to hate console RTSs very, very much.
I voted that it's horrible. Atleast judging from the demo.

It's as good as a console RTS will ever be, but that's still not amazing. The lack of a mouse is pretty much the only thing that's wrong with it. Ya, you can jump to pretty much every major location at the push of a button, but there were times when I didn't nessecarily want to see my troops. It also made it difficult to select a few specific troops and the fact that you couldn't place building just anywhere made me think that playing the same maps over would be boring.

Console controllers simply dont work on RTS games. I can play any game genre effeciently (enough to play) on a console except RTS games and MMOs. Why did Ensemble have to take a step back? It would have been at least a decent game, if not great. Saying it was designed for consoles is not an excuse. That is just giving you a self-inflicted and deliberate handicap. It is just a way to try and avoid critisium.

There's a thought.

If it appeals to those new to RTS I guess the Halo Wars can at least make the genre a bit more popular.

It's okay, the C&C3 control scheme is better IMO. This just feels like I'm a helpful overseer who doesn't really need to be there. Too much grind for me.

I'm not new to the genre. I just hate it. I tried many RTS games. I hated Starcraft, even. I'm not much of a Halo fan, either. I just HATE RTS games, I prefer games like Fire Emblem, and other turn-based strategy games.

You can hit A twice on a unit to select all units of that type in the area.

Demo was really good, first RTS I think I'm actually gonna get into since Starcraft, which i still play.
