At the gym my friends and I always play "Would You Rather" we got into a huge argument over this scenario, so this is my question for you.
It is the end of the world, and God comes down to you and tells you their is a problem. For all the good people to get into heaven, and bad people to go to hell you need to make some sacrifices, and if you don't everyone no matter what is going to hell. God tells you the sacrifice will endure an eternity of torture with no escape, no hope, just constant pain. You are then raised on a pedestal in a huge stadium with everyone in the world watching. Their are two levers in front of you each attached to a cage in one cage is the person closest to you (it could be a wife, best friend, pet, or little sibling), and in the other is a random hundred people. Your family and friends are right next to you on the pedestal, and the hundred peoples wives children and friends are in the front row looking at you.
Would you rather:
A Damn the person closest to you in the world
B Damn a hundred random people
C Cant make up your mind and everyone endures pure brutal torture.
For the sake of this let's assume God is real so no saying I'm an atheist to get out of this. You are going to heaven no matter what, so you will always be separated from the one you damn to an eternity of pain.
