I have very few friends in my life, so I count them as precious.
So I'd damn the hundred. This really isn't that hard a would you rather...yeah, people will see me choosing to damn the hundred, but I don't know them, so fuck if I care.

Is it a bad sign that I barely even hesitated before damning the person closest to me? I just crunched some numbers and decided my personal feelings were utterly irrelevant...

anyone else reminded of the end choice from fable 2 by this scenario......?

I will say for this what i said for that, the mass of completely random people can suffer, as i don't know them thus are not affected by what happens to them

Given this situation, I'm pretty sure I would rather sacrifice myself than see someone I loved dearly or 100 random people who don't owe me anything tortured for eternity. Or I would just punch God in the face for being such a massive prick.

If I had to stick to the choices, I would probably roast the 100 people. I've never met those folks and some of them could easily be bad people, hopefully most of them.

I'm sure it wouldn't affect some people but most people would end up feeling pretty damn bad damning a hundred people without chance for redemption. Hell even the person you saved might end up giving you crap because they believe the one hundred was worth more than themselves. Also kind of like the Fable 3 beginning choice too eh? (except that didn't have a third choice).

Like others, I'd rather pick myself.

But if I couldn't pick myself, I'd pick my loved one. Why? All my loved ones, like myself, are atheists and we don't really get on well with the sorts of people who say they are going to heaven. So my loved one wouldn't really enjoy being doomed to hang out with those people in heaven. Our other friends and loved ones will be in Hell, so they'd be around people they know.

Sadly, in this scenario, then I'd be stuck in heaven with the creepy Westboro Baptist People, and all sorts of other judgemental people I don't want to have anything to do with.

Last I saw (from a random google search) about 70,000 people die per day. And presumably, if this is oldschool Catholic God here, most of them forgot to say their prayers and get sent to hell forever anyway.

If this is all the people who die and go to hell today, I just did about 69,000 people a huge service today. So yeah. 100 random people can lick my balls.

Edit: One caveat. I get to look over the cage of random people before I condemn them. If God decided to be a dick today and put TWO people close to me in that cage, then a) they weren't random (that's mega millions lottery odds right there) and b) this is a tired cliche.

...and then send Him to hell for all eternity. Take that God.

The 100 people. Why? Because I don't know them. And another thing: From what I hear there isn't hate in heaven, so it's not even like the people that were close to them will hate me after it's over.

What if your friend is in the 100 random
What if your in the random 100
After all it IS random, the nature of random is that It could be anyone.

Though taking my questions out of the math id go with the 100 the people i keep close are generally good people who are intelligent if the 100 are truly random most might be stupid or dicks... I'll dame the 100 not a hard choice though i'm not sure who who would be the single person in the cage.

I would damn the closest person to me, option A.

Yes, it would be gut-wrenching, but it's simple mathematics. I doubt that the person I'm closest to would be more valuable than 100 different people. They can't *all* be murderers and rapists, if it's truly random.

Come on, God, give the option to just damn myself and save everyone else, I couldn't live in heaven knowing I damned people.

So, out of the 100 random people, chances are that I know none, out of the 1 chances are I know 1, besides don't all the women get sentimental about this type of choice, so I'll be protected from any hatred in Heaven by means of (at least) half the population thinking I made the right choice.

Damn 100 OTHER people. No hesitation there. If you are wondering, in InFamous, yes I did save Trish over the 10 people. Apparently saving someone you love makes you evil. :\

Don't care about those hundred people. I don't feel like doing the math, but the odds of me or someone I know getting chosen are VERY small. 1/7000000000ish for each of us.
