I was watering up at the end of Final Fantasy 10, closest I've been to crying during a game, I was in company so couldn't quite let myself go

heh, yeah I have cried at a few points in games. sometimes in sadness, others in happiness, others in sheer damned frustration.(Sometimes I was sure that Nintendo was attempting to get back at America by ramping up the difficulty curves of their games, Just so that they could make some poor American kid cry.) hahaha, oh well.
yeah, the first time I saw Aeris die, I was pissed. and I actually did cry.
when playing ghosts and goblins, and beating it, only to find not only did I have to go through it all again, but that I didn't bring the right weapon and had to do it ANOTHER time. (I stopped playing and broke the cartridge after that one) gah that game still gets me angry!
and a few humorus times of tongue in cheek moments that some game developers made, sometimes I am sure that they were not even truly intended to be funny, but yet are absolutly hillarious.

Never cried over a game. Don't seem to bother that much. I'm more like  oh no! (like in HL2 episode 2).

I'm sorry to admit it, but that game brought me close to tears quiet a few times.

I think it was less what was actually happening on screen, more the music. A sad tune really does change the whole feeling of a game for me.

Final Fantasy VII, and Crisis Core. Don't know why, but the story of Zack and Aerith/Aeris just does that to me, hrm.

Also, Brothers in Arms always has me on the edge.

Twice in MGS4 (the microwave scene and the ending), and that's it I think.

Megaman 9 yes :D It was so goddamn hard and I wanted to beat it :X I have never cried about something sad in video games. Well the end of Max Payne 2 made me almost cry.

I think Dark Cloud managed it. Unlike everyone else, however, I didn't much care at the end of Half Life 2: Episode 2.

I was wondering how many posts it would be before someone tried to be "witty".

Well I don't know if this really counts, but the one time I ever cried because of a video game was when I found out that there wasn't a 'legacy' style control scheme in Star Wars Republic Commando. But that was the straw that broke the camel's back, since I had ordered it off of amazon and the day it arrived was a really shitty day at school for me, and then when I got home it was waiting on the doorstep and I was all happy but then it didn't have my controls and I just broke. But in the long run it was good for me, since it got me using the standard stick configuration for fps on consoles.

Oh and by the way, legacy controls are when you have the left stick for running and looking side to side and the right stick for strafing and looking up and down. Standard is run and strafe on the left stick and looking around on the right one.

Well I recall some time ago when I was a young'un, that I cried a bit because I was so insanely frustrated with a level on Little Big Adventure. I couldn't kill the enemies with his Magic Ball and stay out of the freezingly-cold instant-death water. In the end I made my dad do that bit of the level, and even he was rather pissed off at that bit too.

I've never fully cried I think, but there have been some emotional bits in games that have made me sit and think for a whole.

The Omaha Beach level for Medal of Honor was very hard hitting for me, along with the one in COD2.
Unreal II had a bit of that too..
When the Atlantis gets shot down, and soon after you hear their recorded messages while they're going down to their impending death.
and I don't know why but that bit hit me.

There have been other times but I can't really recall specifics, but suffice to say I've sometimes had a rather pensive moment due to some events in games.

Portal, my poor companion cube :(
Poor, poor cube...I spent about half an hour in that place trying to find another way to do it.
Are you serious? The only thing that had me hesitant was that maybe it was a trap. Maybe I needed it later. It was just a cube, really.

The ending of MGS 3 and MGS 4. Didnt quite cause tears to well up but as someone who's almost emotionless I was very, very moved.

This might sound stupid, but i have a strange feeling that valkyria chronicles story might make me cry. I dunno.... I mean, its assisted by the fact that it's impossible not to love very single squad member. I'm really looking forward to getting that game.

Ocarina of Time made me shed a tear after it was over. I was like eight when I beat it, and it took me so long and I got so involved it was like a friend moving away.
