Fucking hell Japan.

I like your games, and a few of your animated shows. But fucking hell. Keep this holographic pop star shit away from me. And out of advertising.

None of you have taste. Miku is hardcore.

Synthesized, holographic, digital pop star > regular pop star.

So, I drive underage without an adult, and I get a fine... Miku drives underage without an adult, and she gets a commercial?

I absolutely hate crowds, but I'd go to a Miku concert. And now I'm sad, because there are none here. At least there is Youtube. And Project Diva.

Still, I don't particularly like this commercial. Maybe because I don't like cars. Also, Miku is not that famous (beware of the understatement) in the West so this kinda baffles me.

A musician with talent >>> a pop star in general.
That's the good part: Unlike what you get with a human pop star, any musician (preferably one with talent) can utilize Vocaloid software.

Fucking Vocaloids.

And this is the worst use of Vocaloids I've ever heard. You'd think a big company like Toyata would do better then random people in their basement, but alas, no.

Either a)toyota marketing fail (for not making a new commercial to use outside japan) b) they are trying to make the software more popular outside japan and thus promote each other (more likely)

That Vocaloid stuff is extremely popular in Japan, but I don't think they'd have any success selling that anywhere else.

I thought that was really cool, though there was something off with the sound. I wonder how many people actually know hatsune miku/vocaloid though.

For Japan, this is a good move. In the US... few people know who "she" is and more people will be wondering why the hell a hologram needs a car.

Meh, it makes no sense. Plus it's for an American audience who won't really know who she is.

So, a synthesiser program is telling me to buy a boring marque of car. I think I'll stick to my Volkswagen, thanks.
Wait, you counter "boring marque" with "Volkswagen"? Ha.
