I know Miku is, atleast, supposed to be getting an English release soon, which would explain the massive rush.
But I agree, the audio was a bit off (since I was JUST listening to the same song about a minute before). I donno, it's a WAY to drum up interest, but I'm not sure it's THE way.

I can think of THE way; they should make the official car of Yowane Haku.

I'm still behind the Luka idea though. She's more western hot AND Bi-lingual, which HELPS ALOT. They could have chosen any number of her songs.

OH, and to answer your question, no, you kinda HAVEN'T made your point. A "marque" is a specific brand of car: all of those marquee may be owned by Volkswagen, but they're not Volkwagen's cars.

So, the Golf GTI, a car which pretty much invented the hot-hatch market segment, as well as still being the benchmark for the market segment, doesn't count as a Volkswagen? Anyway, a Buick ain't a Chevrolet, but they're both parts of General Motors. Ferdinand Piëch was involved in the motorsports program of Audi (and previously, Porsche), and there's a relative amount of platform sharing to save costs.

The VR and W engines are intrinsically linked to Volkswagen.

One model + One Engine does not equal an "Exciting Marque".

And by your standards, Toyota have made plenty of Exciting cars. Hell, they were in F1 for a long time.

It's a neat concept and I do think "World is Mine" is an awesome song.

But I honestly don't know why Toyota is doing this in America. Doesn't make much sense to me.

And the 3D model they used made me cringe. When they have this to compete with I don't see why they even bothered with it.


Also went to the website and saw the art they used. I mean if your target demographic does consist of people who are big fans of a virtual anime pop star then why would you Westernize the art? It's not badly drawn by any means but it makes the whole point of the ad campaign make even less sense.
