There are a ton of people out there who are VERY into simulations and physics engines. To a certain type of player this might be awesome if the things your picking up react realistically and the controls are "spot on" for the situations presented.
It's not a huge market, but it does exist. The kinds of people who like flight simulators with realistic flight mechanics even if they just play "sky tourist" and don't fight anything, or who play racing games who are mostly interested in realistic emulation of the cars and tracks and such rather than awesome crashes and simply winning the races and such.
Niche product, and I'd also suspect they are probably trying to make some money back off of a physics engine (or attachment for another company's engine) they created.
