Just something I have been wondering lately.

So has anyone here ever been in a car accident? Not anything serious I hope.

Yes but I was a baby at the time. It wasn't my fault it was the other driver that was to blame.

Yes. When I was 4 I ran over the road outside my house and got smacked good-style.

After being whooshed to the hospital they made me wear this ridiculous apron thing and walk around. I also couldn't play outside in the playground at school for a week because they thought I was too hurt.

It was great.

2 years ago, I'd gone back to my hometown from Uni for christmas. Got drinking with a few old friends and got a lift home (the driver is a Muslim, he doesn't drink). He was going pretty fast, tried to take a corner that a sheet of ice on it, lost control of the car and spun out. The passanger side ploughed through a stone wall. I was sat in the passanger seat, with no seatbelt on and it honestly took all my body strength to keep my head away from the window just before impact. Looking at the damage to the wall and car it's amazing we all walked away from it unhurt.

No, but I've been hit by a car. I live the other side of this big dual carrageway and it was bound to happen eventually since I cross it at least twice a day.

a few years ago a kid decided it was a good idea to just jump in front of my car. It was ruled not my fault by the police, the insurance company, and the kids parents, just the kids friends with him.

I was nearly ran over the other week while walking to the mailbox, but that's about it.

My foot was clipped by an old guy as I was crossing the street and my shoe went flying off.
Thankfully I was not hurt and I had the right of way, the old guy had to re-take his drivers test (Not sure if he passed or not).

I voted no but I've been in a small scrape. Basically we were turning right at a roundabout and a taxi driver who was initially behind us decided he'd just drive over the roundabout and into the side of us. There wasn't any damage but my mate wasn't happy. I was the passenger.

A cab hit me once while I was crossing the street where I was supposed to cross. It was a light tap, nothing serious. Then the driver came out and punched me in the face. That hurt more.
