No, but my female Saints Row 2 is probably the hottest thing to ever grace the video game screen. I like playing dress up with her.
Ditto.

I will admit that I have formed a connection of sorts with various female characters I've created over the years. I'm not quite sure if I'd call it an attraction, though.

Well, you don't really create Shepard in Mass Effect. More like direct. Unless you mean the face you made for her/him... Which I obviously liked, but I was attempting to make one that is believeable for a badass leader and war veteran than some fantasy girlfriend.
She still has an attractive face, but I'm usually rather judging how well I managed to put that toughness in there than thinking about how hot she looks.

I admit that one of my female Fallout 3 characters was made to be as hot as possible. She still looked pretty awesome with (mod added) long blonde hair, eyepatch and yellow eyes. Not too believable (especially in that setting) or warrior-like. Minus eyepatch... Which I think I added exactly for the contrast. Now that I think of it, yellow eyes worked like that too. But that's what I liked about her looks - She kicked everyone's ass despite looking like a jackpot for raiders.
Then again, you never really get to give any personality to your characters in that game, so how they look becomes more important.

No, video game characters that I create are almost invariably silent protagonists, so while they might be pretty (or not), I don't ever find myself attracted to them. Characters I didn't create though? Definitely - and anyone who thinks that's weird has never had a conversation with Velvet Velour before.

I haven't had this happen to me in games. However, I have grown quite connected to a particular female character I created for my short stories and other projects. This doesn't surprise me, as I make a point of creating characters with extensive backstories, full biographies, and making them as realistic as possible. So feeling an emotional connection to at least one of them is completely rational. Plus, the character I feel most connected to is also designed as being the most attractive of my characters ;).

Oh dear, why do I have a feeling that she ended up drowning in a ladder-less pool?

I also got attached to a few of my Sims. What can I say, I don't have the heart to kill any of them, so I always use the 'aging off' cheat. Damn cute little polygons and pixels...
