After playing a lot of Burnout I start to see how many near misses you get while driving and thinking... I could drift round that corner.

I dream in 3rd person, I used to dream that I was my old WoW character and I did actual quests that were in the game(I think during my dreams I went through levels 1-15 over the course of like 2 weeks.), and after playing Halo 2 a ton I used to get the UI and I would have to press X to board my desk at school or y to dual-wield a fork and a knife.

After playing Guitar Hero 2 for ages with Hyperspeed on the fastest setting, when I would look at things, the middle of my vision (where the note chart was when I was playing) would start to droop down until I looked away, then the next thing I looked at would start to droop down. It was kind of cool.

Every time I see a bird or plane now I always think "Oh Fuck! I gotta shoot it down quick! Where's my stinger missile!"

Recently I've seen small planes flying around, and my first thought was "Shit, enemy UAV."

Then I realized I didn't have a Javelin on my back, and that I was indeed in real life.
Lol. Were in the same boat bro.

I thought I heard Pokémon songs when I was vacuuming earlier... When I turned the vacuum cleaner off, it stopped.

Guild Wars has given me a fear of "rubberbanding", which is when the client thinks you're moving but you're actually stuck server-side... I sometimes find myself thinking "what if I'm still in the bus?!" before realising that THIS IS NOT GUILD WARS.

This happens to me a lot, worst part is when I just don't understand why pressing the start button doesn't pause "the game". "Oh, wait.. This is life.. Yeah, I knew that..."

Yesterday actually, while in bed I could hear the sound of the Death spell in FFXIII after grinding Sacrifices for 8 hours. IT'S BAD, WHY CAN'T I STOP PLAYING IT...

I don't know about the "tetris effect" but I know if I play rock band or guitar hero for too long, and then look at something with a lot of horizontal lines in it (like the entertainment center) they seem to be moving or expanding. (Also, after playing too much GTA IV or Saint's Row I shouldn't drive a car, then again, given the way I drive you could say that any time... ;-)

The "Tetris Effect", for those who don't know, is a fairly well-documented phenomenon in which people who've been playing a lot of Tetris tend to see little falling Tetrominoes in their peripheral vision, even when they're not playing the game.
Funny, that's the exact reason why I've hated that game since I was a kid.

After playing Rainbow Six: Vegas, I leaned up against a wall and wondered for a second why I wasn't going into third person.

DO not drive after playing GTA or Guitar Hero for several hours. Guitar Hero a few times a couple years ago made me see extra lines on the road... it was pretty trippy. GTA made me want to run over motorcyclists as if I were supposed to in real life... that's never a good thing.

Whenever I played Spiderman 2 for too long, I had the sound of web spraying echoing through my ears. Also when playing dead space, I looked outside and thought my dog was a necromorph.
Same but with me after playing a lot of Dead Space and watching the comic AND movie, I couldn't go to sleep for almost a week because I didn't trust the darkness due to the hiding necromorphs, so I was pretty tired for a while.

I've had the Tetris ones, but the best ones ever were after playing a lot of Infamous... I'd ride the Skytrain into town for work, looking at good ways to get up the buildings and where I'd get the best angle to blow up the gas stations. Lovely daydreams. =)

After playing L4D for 13 hours in a day, I started hearing Tanks as I ate crackers, and the wind sounded like the horde.

Oh, and after playing a bunch of Silent Hunter 5 (submarine simulator), I was riding in the car, and reached up to press the "Time Compression".

When I can't sleep I get the most intense hallucinations / concious dreams, my room is suddenly split up and I have to go around controlling everything. That's about as much as I can remember but believe me it's hell (can't sleep for hours after / during it and it is rather scary), I can't even get myself to leave my room when I get it. But to a specific game, I never get anything.
Guitar hero thing is just because the note highways are that way (just stand right next to the TV and look at it at a downward angle, somewhat interesting), but I've seen a crosshair at most.

I dreamt of halo last night. I can't remember exactly what the crud happened, but I was both thrilled and freaked the **** out. Alder dan das...I'm not sure, I think a health bar, crosshair or other element of a HUD has entered my vision some time, but it's never stuck. I should probably thank the gods for that...I can't imagine having half a heart left that's constantly blinking and beeping being very fun. Yeah...too much zelda, I suppose.
