About sixty bucks on spiral knights gah the energy prices in the game are set by the players seemed awesome at first when a smart player could be free forever if they know how to buy and sell, but now its gotten so high you have to buy energy

My friend once bought me $20 worth of stuff on... wait, Exteel isn't exactly an MMO.

But either way, I didn't pay for it so, nope. I no longer play MMOs (at all) anyway so I never will, either.

As of late, $40 or so dollars on Memento Mori: Requiem... so I can have premium, and some items....

Aprox $50 on AQ worlds, and Dragon Quest, thats about it.

Excluding buying the titles, I have spent an addition 20 bucks on Guild Wars.
Although GW doesn't have a subscription fee, I have no idea how much I've spent on it; it's definately more than 20 dollars though.
Mostly character slots (shameless altaholic), with some Merc slots.

I still play Guild Wars. I only have to pay for my internet connection and the initial games. Occaisionally, I'll but bonus packs and stuff like that, but I'm never charged for playing the game itself.

Well, I've paid to keep up a subscription in LOTRO and DDO, as I didn't want to switch to the pared-down F2P offering.

I did it with Guild Wars before they started releasing those costumes pack and the gender and name changes cost.
I bought an extra character slot (£7 I think) because I was intrested by the Mesmer class (I had pick up a few rare weapons that can be only be used by the Mesmer) and I didn't wanted to delete my current characters. (Although in hingsight I regret it now since Mesmer are not that popular and hard to use.)
I also bought the bonus mission pack (Gwen story, Togo etc) because I got excited by the exclusice weapons like OMG I must have it!! type of reaction.

Nope. I played F2P because of just that. They were free.

Even WoW, all I pay for is time. I don't get any of the extra stuff.

I'm guessing Spiral Knight counts, right? Spent a little on Crystal Energy.
Gonna try it out now. Was trying to get into "League of Legends" the other day: it appears it's just not my cup of tea.

EDIT: "Spiral Knights", played it for 10 minutes... I'd rather watch paint dry. Neat bomberman aesthetic though, I'll give 'em that much.

I have about 40 hours in Global Agenda and levelled a few characters, but I can't see myself paying for anything. None of the classes interest me enough to play one exclusively and it's really only an XP/loot boost and the use of the auction house so I can't be bothered.

At least it doesn't artificially limit your playing time like Spiral Knights does with "energy". I can only get an hours worth of gaming out of it at one sitting. With energy being so expensive, there's really no incentive to come back (for me anyway).

tl;dr: No, but maybe if the game is right.

Extra Credits are right: the only things that they may charge people for are convenience and paint jobs, nothing more. "Spiral Knights" are essentially making people pay-to-play for a crappy game. Better spend 15 bucks a month on a good mumorpuger, if there is one, I haven't seen one since UO and RO and I played lots of them.

Hey now. Spiral Knight ain't that crappy. You just have to give it a chance. Also, it doesn't Make you do anything. You can buy energy(currency for entering dungeons) with Crowns(in-game currency).
