I tend to hover around Vampire videos on youtube which ruined good music.

Not that I have a problem with the vampire stuff, just when there aren't any of the original video left to watch, just continuous cuts from vampire series breaking into the music.

Though I will add, while I have not "trolled" like: posted porn or gore or called someone a moron and made personal attacks on a forum just for the lulz. I don't do that. But I did have a flame war with a troll once on youtube which, in a certain mindset, could be considered a type of trolling. Regardless, that was about a year and a half ago.

Ive have done it on occassion. But usually I only get accused of trolling when im not trolling. Which is wierd. People throw around the word troll too much. People just call you troll for not having the same opinion or if you arent agreeing with what they are saying.

I love how people seem to think that labelling someone as a troll makes their points invalid. However when you use the term 'troll' is used incorrectly you just make yourself look like an idiot. The problem is that people don't understand the term troll. Another common misconception is that 'troll'='flame'.

I trolled a bit when I was younger. Now I usually don't bother, but I've also been spending far less time on the internet in general.

I got banned from a forum for flaming a troll once. That was fun.

To be honest, trolling is subjective. Most of the things you say probably annoy someone...

I started as a troll when I got my first internet 54k connection. I was 13, so that was like 10 years ago. I made the Dutch Nintendo forums a living hell. Everyone knew me and everyone hated me.

Then 4chan came along and made trolling boring and stupid, so I stopped.

Trolling, in my opinion, is acceptable when it's focused on nutjobs, extremists, and arrogant twats.

It makes me ask questions, too. "What will get to these people?" "What logical fallacies can I exploit?" "What about the subject can I find more about and use to troll them harder?"

There are many more intellectual benefits to trolling than you think.

I would bet money that most religious extremists you are "trolling" are infact trolls themselves.
