Okay. So, admittedly, I'm not a player of the Bioshock franchise, but I'm just wondering: HOW did that alternate cover win the competition?
This is just my amateur opinion, but to me, it looks like a few random, penciled doodles/sketches thrown together in paint. I mean, there's a floating island, a zeppelin, a robot-gargoyle and some clouds.

I'm not terribly impressed by the primary cover art either. I think the one Adam Jensen [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.404306-Poll-Have-you-flipped-the-Bioshock-infinite-cover-art-yet#16744609] linked is the best one of those I've seen.
All of the above is considered IMHO.

I literally flipped it as soon as I got back into my car after buying it from Tesco.

Personally, I think this flippable cover thing is a great idea that more publishers should implement. They could have a mass appeal cover, with all the technical text etc, and then a cool, alternative or artsy cover on the other side.

It can't cost that much to produce, seeing as both the Mass Effect 3 and Bioshock devs convinced their publishers to let it happen!

Now I kinda wish I had gotten a physical copy instead of just downloading on Steam. Except then I wouldn't have gotten X-COM: Enemy Unknown for free with it, so I guess it's a fair trade-off. Glad to see my favorite cover won.
