Rayman is a 3d platformer based in a fantasy world about a creature with no limbs but a set of floating hands, feet anda floating head called Rayman. you may of hear of him through the Mario Party rip off called Rayman Raving Rabbids, and even then i hardly accept that as rayman game. The last (PROPER) Rayman game was released in 2003 ....8 years ago. Finally at E3 they announced Rayman origins : a 2d platformer with the most extravagent artistic style, and frankly i think its fuckin awesome.

Derp. New one is coming out and Rabbids is the most popular game on Wii. Plus, Rayman 2 was a premiere title for the 3DS.

I remember the old Gameboy Advance games and how much I hated them, and I haven't heard of him since.

Loved all 3 ray man games. 3 was especially hilariously written. All 3 had amazingly vibrant worlds with colorful characters.

For all intents and purposes, rabbids wasn't a bad game. Sure, I was expecting another adventure games (and as it turns out so was the dev team), but w/e. What REALLY hit my last nerve is that they spent the next half decade pumping out more damn rabbids and ol' ray was pushed farther and farther out of the limelight.

So great to see him getting some action after all this time.

Do yourself a favor, play any of the original trilogy (rayman, rayman great escape, and rayman hoodlum havoc)

There are people who don't know about Rayman?

I don't want to live in this world anymore...

Well no shit, of course I know of him, who do you take me for?

Believe it or not, I have played every single version of Rayman 2 (except for the new 3DS one). So that means Dreamcast, N64, Playstation, PS2, and DS. I will stand by my opinion that the Dreamcast one is the best port of the lot, however the N64 one was pretty good also.

Yes, I love the game that much, one of my favourite platformers (Though I wasn't a fan of the first game though. I haven't played the third one, but I do hear good things about it).

The new Rayman games are terrible minigame compilations for kids, so hopefully with Origins Rayman will be back on form again.

I remember playing Rayman, back in second grade, on the PS1. IT WAS EPIC! Sadly I never came far on it, I came as far as the musical world, and gave up as it was too hard..., I should try again sometime.

Also, I have Rayman Revolution, which I found sucking.

Ah yes, Rayman. I remember him. I once got a demo for Hoodlum Havoc in a cereal box. I got the full version shortly afterwards. Fun game.

I only played rayman 3 Hoodlum Havok. It was fun, but rather difficult in places. I never got round to finishing it. One of the last levels kept destroying me(I was young and still inept at gaming).

Rayman was awesome, and Raving Rabbids was to only benefit the younger/more immature audience.

Also, a lot of these polls annoy me. I'll give an example:

Do you like CoD?
- Hurrp Derrp yhes

- No, it's a series that is getting very tedious.
You see that one answer is very much portreyed to be a completely wrong answer.

I know that it is going a tad off topic, but could you please change it?

Rayman Revolution was a terrible port of Rayman 2 with a shitty hub world.

Play the N64, or Dreamcast versions instead, they are much better.

Wasn't Rayman initially a 2d platformer? I remember having it on the Playstation, was a great game. The cartoon artstyle meant the game hasn't aged, and the bosses were always epic. Seriously a game that did boss battles well.

They might be so, but I honestly don't feel like buying an N64/Dreamcast and rayman 2 right now :p. Maybe when I actually have beaten the first one, as then I'm in the mood for more :p

The original Rayman (1995) was the first game I ever bought for myself. I loved that game and frankly, I'm rather excited for the new 2D release. I could never get into 3D platformers.

At least playing a good port of it will allow you to appreciate a classic if you ever get round to it.
