Yep. Rayman will forever be the only series that pulled a "serious face" game (Rayman 2) as well as a "silly and dumb" game (Rayman 3) and did it well.

(Both are in my Childhood Keystones hall of fame.)

I finished the one where you were gathering some kind of masks to stop some kind of robots when I was very young. One of the best gaming experiences I had, it was a wonderful game. Come to think of it I have to find it and play it again :)) THanks for reminding me ^^

I remember seeing it on the PS1, but never played it. I've not big on platformers in general, nor on the graphics that made me think it was aimed at 5 year olds - call it Nintendo syndrome.

Every console that exists except PC. GFY Ubisoft.
I really liked Rayman before it went 3D, it all went south from there.

That guy who was made of floating body parts, had a friend whos head opened when he talked and ate balls of magic, and could launch similar balls of magic form one of his disembodied hands?
Never heard of him.

I considered the first Rayman a masterpiece, and then it went 3D and downhill from there. Definitely excited for this new one though.

Rayman was originally a 2D platformer and origins is frankly going to its origins with the 2D idea. Rabbids isn't my cup of tea but origins looks great I'm going to pick it up.

This was one of my latest tweets:
"We just found Rayman Gold, Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 in a box of old games."

Yes, yes I do.

Raving Rabbids isn't even a Rayman game anymore; they removed the Rayman after the second. Which is good because the first was passable and the rest were utter shite.
Contrary to the majority of other people it seems, I liked the 3D rayman games. Apart from the DS games, god they sucked. I mean the actual main series.

Yes I have heard of Rayman. My brother had Rayman 2 for the Nintendo 64. It has never appealed to me though. I haven't actually seen a Rayman game in years.

I remember playing Rayman, back in second grade, on the PS1. IT WAS EPIC! Sadly I never came far on it, I came as far as the musical world, and gave up as it was too hard..., I should try again sometime.

Also, I have Rayman Revolution, which I found sucking.
Rayman Revolution was a terrible port of Rayman 2 with a shitty hub word.

Play the N64, or Dreamcast versions instead, they are much better.
They might be so, but I honestly don't feel like buying an N64/Dreamcast and rayman 2 right now :p. Maybe when I actually have beaten the first one, as then I'm in the mood for more :p
All of the 3 original Rayman games can be purchased at good old games if you want.

Original game was proper hardcore, don't think I ever finished it.

Played one of the 3d sequels, was pleasantly surprised in that it wasn't fail (i lived to see bugsy 3d so you can't blame me for being sceptical of 2d platformers becoming 3d games).

Beyond that, haven't really been keeping up with rayman but good to hear he is still around.

Mario Party ripoff? The games in Raving Rabbids are hardly even similar... not to mention not having a board or overall score...

I tend to prefer the Rabbids to Mario...

My entire knowledge of rayman comes from that gameube trailer thing on the OoT disc that came free with Wind Waker. So I'm going with "no".

I played 2 on PS1 a bit, then on PC and finally I bought Revolutions, which is a port of 2. From what I've played, it is an entertaining series. Hopefully Origins will be just as good.
