So true. So very true.

No matter what the OP says about virginity not being a virtue, it's still something you can't ever get back.
Ugh, why would you want it back?

I've never really understood why one would want to be a virgin, or "get it back" - sounds terrible to me. If I got my virginity back, I'd just have to lose it again, and I really don't want to go through that again, thanks all the same.

For the record - losing one's virginity generally isn't very fun (rare exceptions). However, once one is no longer a virgin, one is able to practice, get better, and actually start enjoying oneself.

OT: At 17 with my first girlfriend. Again at 18 with my first boyfriend (ie, with real penis instead of other digits). And again at 20 for the ol back door.

Then again, anyone who's ever read one of these threads knows what a slut I am, so perhaps people are sick of hearing me exalt how awesome sex is.

Lost it when I was 16 and a half. My mom and younger brother were out of town and my girlfriend at the time was staying over. She was 2,5 years older and quite experienced, but she really took it easy on me, which was great.

16th Birthday to a girl who I had had a thing with for a while. 3 years later while at university I became friends with her brother. Still wonder if I will ever tell him.

I disagree with this.

I 'lost' (again a biased word as if it is something to loose yet apparently is worth nothing?) mine with my wife. Shoop da woop or whatever. Sex is oversexed.

I was 18, lost it to the first girl I loved. It was pretty awesome actually :).
I wasn't her first, which kind of helped to be honest. One of us knew what to do!

I havent, and want to. Not nessacarily because of what it is, but because i'll only lose it in a relationship. I've never had one so the mention of sex just reminds me that i've never had anyone close =(

18 with a sort of GF, that was one horrid experience, I was nervous as all hell and you could probably coax more life out of a tree stump then that girl during sex.
Or maybe she was role playing, me being the bear and her playing dead till I go away...

If it's not with someone you are comfortable with masturbation is actually the far superior experience.

Yes, about 3 weeks ago with my current girlfriend. Im 17.
Wow congrats =) myself, i lost it a year or so ago when i was 16 with my then-girlfriend. It really helped create a strong bond between us (even though it didnt end up working out) also, it's very enjoyable in and of itself, sex that is.
I think that's the one part of sex that actually means something, that it actually brings you closer together. It makes you more intimate so it strengthens a relationship.
Also people who don't really have any experience, don't listen to what people say when sex (or intimate acts) aren't important, because they are. A lot of the time it can break relationships up.
As long as you're mature about it and the relationship as a whole it doesn't have a profound impact, which is why i find it laughable (and disgusting) when younger children are sexually active. (What does that even mean?-Juno)
Haha, i actually got that reference =D good movie, anywho, after having had sex with more than one person i came to realize that sex is a bonding experience the first, second, etcetera times as much as it was the first time. It really brings you close to someone when you feel comfortable performing coitus with them =)

yes 14 with a member of the opposite sex and I must say it wasn't exactly what I would consider to be a milestone. It was good and everything but I see no reason why it should be considered a significant event in a person's life.

Yes, when I was 16 with my girlfriend.

Losing your virginity isn't that spectacular. But sex is.

Yeshum, when I was nineteen and my girlfriend was eighteen. And we met in eleventh grade and have been together for five happy years and counting.

I'm fifteen and no. It's too pressured, why's it so important to lose it, especially if it's with someone your with for only a week. Your first time should be with someone you actually care about and have an actual connection with. Then again I'm still a virgin, so this may be why I think this.

15, and no. I haven't been in a serious relationship yet, so I'd rather wait. On top of that I don't drink or do drugs, so that might slow down the progress.
