I feel ripped off. I knew better, but pre-ordered the damn thing anyway. I got about a week of playtime in, maybe 10+ hours or so total. Didn't even make it to level 30 with one character I think. Don't care, it's boring. Moving on...

I didn't buy it but I can't help but wonder how many other people clicked 'I don't own it' because of the fact that you can't play it offline and could at any time (for any reason) be banned from the game all together. Always Online aside, I didn't buy the game because I'm afraid anything more complex than a newgrounds flash-game will make my computer burst into flame. I tried Diablo and 2 and, still own the original...I have no idea where it is though...but I never got into either in as big a way as I've gotten into other games.

Still playing it in combination with my other go-to games (CoD4, WoW, SC2, UMvC3).

The patch today fixed a lot of the initial problems.

I stopped after a week and I don't understand the whole hype about the game.

Sure it is fun and I did enjoy playing with other players but the replay value wasn't that enticing.

I have been burning my hours away lately now with exercise and Uncharted.

Got a Barb to 30 and a DH to 47 (in Act III Nightmare). I clocked in a decent amount of time, around 40 hours or so. I enjoyed my time with the game, though it is fairly shallow and seriously lacking the longevity that I thought it would have. I think most people that are upset with the game dislike it because it had the potential to be a great game but instead just ended up being an "okay" game. The loot is bland and grinding to kill bosses on a harder difficultly (after you've already killed them) makes for dull game play. If they spice up the loot and add a strong PvP component than I can see myself returning to the game.

Oh wow, so shit just got real concerning the RMAH: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5889158971?page=1

Basically, the recent patch just nerfed Increased Attack Speed by 50%; a popular stat as you'd imagine, and it was a very big nerf. This nerf was retroactive, and even affected items that were purchased with real money through the RMAH. Certain buyers of said items have been in touch with their banks, who apparently have no problems classifying it as a bait and switch and are issuing chargebacks.

Though I've not bought anything from the RMAH, I have sold a few items. One of which in particular had a good dollop of IAS on it, and that was easily the selling point of the item (it was a helm, and it's one of the only items in the game that has IAS in that slot; other than that the stats were mostly useless).

I played for about a week, beat it twice with Barbarian and got bored with it.

Worth the 36 hours of game, but not worth the huge decade waiting time.

I still play it, but I have other games that need my attention as well.

I still find it fun, too, but that's probably only because I haven't had as much time to play it as I wish I did. I have far less free time these days, so unfortunately I have only finished Normal difficulty with the Wizard and am on Normal Act 3 with a Barbarian.

Haven't tried it yet, but I probably will at some point, when it's on sale. It looks like it's worth a few dozen hours of fun.

Gee, you don't sound bitter at all.

Hey everybody, stop liking what this guy doesn't like!

Oh, and I didn't buy it.
is there anything you actually say positive?? Its like out of 50 posts 49 are negative about what I write
I do occasionally. I was gushing about the game Journey awhile back.

However, it's usually more interesting to be contrary or play devil's advocate.
Heh, devil's advocate...I see what you did there...

Didn't get it, but i played a few hours of one of the beta weekends. From what I could tell, it was fun- but having only dipped my toe in the water, my first impression was lacking in weight.

Since then, I'm glad I was unable to buy it. Mechanically, it just seems completely borked. And what isn't borked is just "meh". Plan on getting it eventually (always loved how angels were portrayed in the series), but I may not if the account hacks and laggy single player issues persist. :|

Seems like Blizzard is just kinda... imploding... but that's ok[footnote]Torchlight 2 looks to be the better arpg, and GW2 will fill the mmo-shaped void in my life quite well, I should think.[/footnote].

The 1.03 patch killed the game.

The IAS nerf didn't effect me much, as I never had much of it to begin with, but even still I lost about 4% of my bonus.

The REAL problem is the increased repair costs. One death is now 13k in repairs, thats not chump change in this game, it takes about an hour to make that much gold in Inferno or Act 4 Hell. One hour worth of gold farming in ONE death...and Inferno tends to kill you, instantly, without being able to do much about it.

I won't even load the game up again until they reverse that change (or at least scale it back a bit, shit), its game breaking.

Once I learned I could press and hold the left mouse button to attack and press the right button, while still holding down the left, for the special attack, AND, pressing the side mouse button to run, it became boring, so boring, I went from L18 - L24 while I was reading a magazine and pressing three mouse buttons.

I have officially given up on D3. Portal 2 maps are much more interesting to me right now and I'm spending most of my time at Aperture.

Edited to Add - Never made it to Inferno, so no idea how much more challenging that would be. I just can't see being bored for several more hours to get there.
