So I'm usually against pre-ordering. As far as I'm concerned, it's rewarding the pre-release marketing campaign instead of the game's quality. In fact, the only thing I ever remember pre-ordering is the original Xbox and Halo... but they didn't really count because it was already released in the US (I'm Australian) and reviews were around.

But I broke my no pre-orders rule for Skyrim. Why? Well, I wanted the cloth map that comes with pre-orders. I have no interest in the collector's edition but I like the cloth map. And I loved Morrowind and mostly enjoyed Oblivion so I figure it can't be too bad.

Have you pre-orderd? Why?/Why not? Do you usually pre-order the games you want?

I don't really know, I'm a little strapped for cash right now and really don't want to throw down $60 on something I might not like. I might if I get some money, but as of right now, probably not.

I won't be buying it since my computer will not handle it, and I refuse to play a Elder Scrolls game without the mods.

I pre-ordered and paid off the game completely. Why? Because it showed promise, It looked better than Oblivion (Which I didn't like) in many ways, plus...

Why isn't there an option for...

..."No, and I won't buy it unil a while later to see if the game is just Oblivion v2 or actually has some role-playing elements and interesting characters"?

Although that might be a bit diccicult without playing the game myself, as almost everyone I know who has played an Elder Scrolls game is a Bethesda fanboy (I just ignore it) and pretty much every major reviewer will give it 10/10 just because it's made by Bethesda.

Well I was waiting for the collectors edition which was annoced the other day at $150. Now I live in england so I converted this to pounds which gave me a total of just over £90 which made me happy. However today I checked stores and it gives me the price of £130 an extra £40 which has depressed me quite a bit. So yes I've preordered only the normal edtion though.

Definitely gonna pre-order it. I'm confident that I'm gonna love it, and almost certain it will iron out many of the flaws of Oblivion. Probably come with new flaws of its own but I can live with that. There seems to be a lot of cynicism about Bethesda here. They have a lot of "fanboys" and positive reviews because they make damn good games.

I don't think I will be pre-ordering it. I despised Oblivion with a passion. This one, however, I want to try mainly because of the hype and circle jerks that fans of Elder Scrolls are yelling about. I'll wait and buy it used probably.
So...Circle jerks get you interested? :p

I didn't pre-order it, because I can't be bothered pre-ordering things. But I will buy it when it comes out, likely on day 1 , but depends how busy I am at the time.

I pre-ordered the Standard Edition of Skyrim about two or three months ago. Now that a Collector's Edition has been announced I am going to upgrade my pre-order to that later today.

Not really interested. I like RPGs, but I absolutely love the last two Fallout games and this just looks too much like it but then without everything that makes Fallout great.

I´ve put my pre-order in at my local gameshop about 4 weeks ago. I told the owner I wanted the most luxurious collectors edition he could get his hands on :D

Yep, and I've paid off most of it. Pretty confident I won't feel cheated out of my money when I pick it up.

I'm waiting for the GotY edition. The collectors edition is already announced and it will most likely be pre-order only.

Where is the option "No, I am the biggest fan of the Elder Scrolls EVAR!!!11 but I consider pre-ordering a true mark of idiocy"?

Then again, your avatar makes it look like you like smelly JRPG's anyway :p

Skyrim is 50$.
It's $100.00 actually.

In all seriousness, can we just move beyond correcting people on the price of games, it's the Internet, we're all from different regions.

EDIT: and the poll option you want is: "No, but I'll buy the game on day one"
