Simple, have you actually seen the Twilight films?

If so, why? Did you like or hate it?

If not, why? Did you just not like the idea, or did you just know it was bad?

EDIT:SORRY, I THINK THIS IS A DOUBLE POST, DON'T LOOK!

Yes, I saw the first one when it was on the movie channel.

I did not really like it, as it was really boring.

No, so I refrain from slagging it off like all the "cool" kids on the internet do.

I haven't because it really doesn't appeal to me and looks rather awful.

Only the first. Because someone else paid for it.

My verdict: Never. Ever. Again.

Might see this though:

I skipped the first and second, knowing that it was full of lovey-dovey crap and watched the third.
I understood the story thanks to my stepsister never shutting up about it *eye twitches*

The only part I liked was the battle scene (the only reason I went to see it in the first place), the rest made me sleepy

Never watched it, never want to. I know it couldn't possibly be as popular as it is for good reasons. Plus it's quite obviously a chick movie. I'm just waiting for them to finish this crap and move on to the next dumb fad. Hopefully they don't ruin anything else for me like they did to vampires.

Lets put it this way . . . Yes I saw the first film only because I was curious. Wasting a few dollars on a dvd to try and understand a stupid fad was one of the dumbest things I've ever done. I had the longest conversations with fairly attractive women telling me its the epitimy of storytelling. I found out the hard way it was a "place yourself here" Romance novel with some faggy vampires.

JK: I looked away from the screen to watch a squirel climb up a tree. Looked back and the movie was over (WOW it was short)

No, I haven't. Which really doesn't give me any right to hate on them.

...Yeah, I do it anyway.

Or at least I did. Personally now-a-days I see them in the same light I see movies like Transformers or even Porn, just for chicks. Twilight is rediculously romantic, which allows a lot of girls to see past all the bad things about it, just like a guy might go a movie with big explosions and go "That was great!" even though the story and dialogue was awful. I'm not that person but I understand the reasoning behind it.

It's just at the same time there are movies that are just as romantic that also pretty good movies, as is the same for the action genre. I just wish Twilight wasn't the one to hit that nerve. Also will say I feel a certain amount of sympathy for the directors for these things. The last guy, David Slade is the man behind Hard Candy, which is a brilliant movie and fucking disturbing, especially as a guy (watch it and see how much time you spend with your hand on your balls for reassurance). I just feel these guys are stuck with crappy source material and acting and just can't get any great stuff out of it. But then again like I said I haven't seen it so I really can't say.

I tried to watch the first one, but it was just too damn boring.

Edit: Huh, I see this was my post #3000. And I used it to complain about Twilight. Not too bad! :)

I have seen both Twilight and New Moon (repeatedly).

I cannot put into words the depth of my distaste for them.

(It's a lot).

No. Neither the books. The fanfiction if it wasn't for the sheer ammount: http://www.fanfiction.net/crossovers/Twilight/2458/

Would be laughable.

Saw new moon. Laughed my ass off at the romance scenes. Definitely one of the best unintentionally hilarious films of the year. As a romance or action movie however, it gets a negative 57 out of 10.

I have not seen the third, but I agree with the first two. New Moon was so god-awful that it became comedic gold. I've seen intentional comedies that weren't as hilarious as New Moon.
