I've thought about it... I occasionally write short stories which get top marks at my school. This concept that you have is really good.

I've written plenty of short stories, which I share with friends. It is a learning experience, since they are perfectly honest about the things they don't like. I will write a full novel at some point, although I do find the logistics of such a project terrifying, but I'll get over it.

Certainly thinking about it. I have two short stories published already, one of which one me an award (not a Hugo, mind you), but I'd like to write a novella or a novel one day. Probably one full of dark humour and angst reflecting my tortured heart and puckered anus (I have to take a poo).

Not so much books as stories but yes. The one book I had was a thriller about a photojournalist in Africa who discovers a worker death camp.

Everybody is writing a novel, havent you seen Stewie and Brian's interactions on Family Guy?

Ahh yeah, I have a novel all planned out. There are a couple of plot points that need tweaking so that they fit well and don't seem forced, but the story itself is largely planned out. I don't sit down and write huge chunks, I'm probably not a born writer and will never be prolific, I just chip away a scene every few weeks. University and social life keep me too busy to do more. The only reason I do write is that I know my prose is decent, and my story a good one, and although I don't expect it to get published, I would like to atleast say one day that I've put my story into words and be able to read it a few years later to see what I was like back then.

I'm working on a novel, writing a bit every day. I'm not sure if it'll be any good, but it's tremendous fun to write it.

I wish. I have a story that I've been refining in my head for coming up on five years now. Only problem is I have zero experience in writing fiction.
Hey, just go for it. It doesn't have to be anything serious. Just open Word (or whatever you use to word process) and try writing something. Nothing's permenent, so you may as well give it a try and practice your writing style.

Anyway, yes, I am in the process of writing something, although I recognise it for what it is. A fairly cliched attempt at a novel which is just a stepping stone to better things. It's a dystopia/anti-utopia which uses a system of interrogator agents to root out and detroy dissidence, and the story follows the character of a girl who becomes embroiled in the world of political intrigue when an interrogator takes her under his wing.

Don't think I ever will unless it's a childrens book, but you should write it down while the dream is still in your head then over the years improve the story take things out add things in maybe some humour(but I always like a bit of humour:p)

I'm writing a crossover of medieval flashbacks and modern-day settings of a monestry in a forest, with ties to a witch burning in the 1500's. I know how I want to continue the next chapter, but I'm not sure how to start said chapter. X(

I wrote a few short stories when I was younger, got one of them published, then I started uni and well... No time to write now. I do have a few fairly polished ideas, so I'm planning to try and do part-time when I'm done with my studies. They are mostly short stories, but I have one for a book which I have actually started writing a while ago, and one for a five-book series, which I might end up writing one day... In twenty years, maybe.

I'm minoring in creative writing at the moment. I've written about a lot of short stories but haven't been able to keep an idea going long enough for it to become a novel. Hopefully that's going to change once I get back on campus next semester.

I spent the last year of my free time trying to write one, but it's ridiculously convoluted and probably unpublishable.

Ehh... I have a story banging around in my head, and have written down a few snippets here and there, but I doubt it'll ever be finished.
I'm a terrible writer, you see. It's pretty much the only thing I could ever consider my "skill", and I suck at it.
More than likely, my story is entirely ripped off from other, better works.
It's fun to imagine, though.

I started writing one a few weeks ago, it's essentially about england ruling most of the word and a group of terrorists who are trying to take over. It's also got some mumbo jumbo about genetic experiments in it but i haven't worked it all out
