Used to.

But it was back in secondary school when you know if you break 1 week, "OMG ITS SERIOUS HOLY JEEZ!"

GF comes in my house.

"Whact'ha dong?"
"Playing Windwaker."
"You're a gamer? I'm leaving."
"Sure."
"Why aren't you crying?"
"Zelda is more important to save than your stupid ass."

She hasn't spoken to me since.

I now have a girlfriend who has a female Assassins costume.

Score.

Nope. Nearly everyone near where i live is a gamer to some degree so thats not really a problem. The problem is all the bogans.

Yes, it is quite depressing. It's not that I was like "Piss off, games are more important" it's a bit more complicated than that. So yes, games have stopped me getting a girlfriend on one occaision.

Well, I have a GF now, and gaming has never come between us, she likes casual games so we play together at times. Yesterday I showed her Burnout Paradise and she liked it... so I migth turn her into a gamer =)

Well, my boyfriend plays more games than me >_>
And it's not really come between us - just means he's up late and is a lazy bastard at times :p

I know some people where it's just driven them apart, or where the girl is trying to keep up, and just can't.

I actually met my ex through world of warcraft. Now i love gaming, but this chick had even more epics from raiding than me...

Aside from that a lot of my lady friends often have this 'games? ew god no, i'll watch but i'll never play one' approach. Which to be honest is a little depressing. I know you can't parade up to a group of your mates and say 'LAST NIGHT I GOT THE BEST HEADSHOT EVAR' but it's hard to picture starting a relationship with any of them for the very reason that they just don't care or aren't interested in gaming. If a girl said to me 'it's me or the games', it'd have to be the games. It's just that important to me. Sorry!

Incidentally if there any lonely gamer girls out there, feel free to give me a buzz. (Free endorsement, Amirite?)

Thread title: no. I met my one and only boyfriend through a game, so... basically the opposite.

Poll question: yes, actuallly. The fact that I no longer play said game is quite difficult for him to handle. I have to play other games, though. I think he gets that, even if he's the kind of guy who only likes a small handful of games.
