"Hey, can you reach that jar?"

"Why yes I can!"

It matters in more practical matters than anything else. If I get to know someone they usually end up becoming a disembodied voice in my head anyway.

6ft4inches . Still 6 inches shorter than me Dad. But im taller than everyone else I know. And boy do I love it, because the average females head makes a lovely drink stand....FACT!

It's important. I'd never be with a guy who was shorter than me. Mind you I'm not very tall so I'm not being too picky.

I'm 6'3 and always used to love my height because I went to an all boy's school. Nowadays I find myself hopin I don't grow anymore. It's a funny thing when I meet new people ("wow omg you're so tall") but I find it a hindrance in other personal areas.

In general though: I don't think it's "important".

I think shorties are cute, but don't really care about my own height. At 5'8", I'm at least tall enough to reach everything.

yes it's very important--

I've always had a thing for taller girls since I was little, and a kid's heart does not lie

In most situations, it's not that important. However, I think I'd prefer a guy that I date to be taller than me. I like being the little spoon :)

However, seeing as I'm 5'4"-5'5", that's not too difficult.

I had a friend that got bullied because he is 5ft 4. I really don't think it is important but because I am 6ft 5, he took it out on me for some reason.

Personaly I think height is very important because sometimes i have trouble taking someone seriously if i have too look bown at them when the talk. Then again im aproximatly 6ft 7, so this could be a problem.

I've never really found the need to over exaggerate my height.
Same.

It does kinda annoy me when I see guys taller than me though.

It's just... wrong
I don't like the shoe being on the other foot damnit!
Ditto I have no reason to exaggerate my height either and in all honesty find being too tall (over 6ft by my reasoning) a pain in the neck, I live in a house with low lieing chandeleirs at during uni rooms with fixed low shower heads.
Mind you I will also put my hands up in saying that I do find it surreal occasionally to meet people significantly taller then me (+7ft)when I'm used to being the taller, but apart from that I never thought it was much of a big deal...
Yeah, exactly, I never notice my height until I meet someone taller, and then it's just slightly surreal. Also, I share your pain of tall-ism, the doorways to my bedroom and bathroom are both an inch too small, which I brain myself on quite frequently, and my feet always stick out at the end of my bed if I lay outstretched.

Frickin' shorties, have some consideration!
[small]Ya tiny jerks.[/small]
I'm 6ft6 and it's the bane of my existence, I can't drive most cars, I can't go on any roller coasters, I can't date women who are shorter than 5ft5 cos from behind it looks like i'm helping my daughter cross the road and I can never be a criminal because i stand out like an albino in africa.

but the worst part is having short men constantly tell me they are jealous while they sit comfortably next to me on the bus while i'm crunched into their unholy leg room, i'd love to be 5ft11, you are tall enough not to be short and you fit into everything

Girls tend to care less about their own height, but I have a handful of friends who swear they wouldn't date a guy who was shorter than them. It apparently kills the mood or something. A few of these openly admit they consider height an attractive feature in a guy.

Research showed if you're over 6ft, the probability that you'll need a cane by your mid to late 30s exceptionally rises.

I'm 5'7 and I love my height.
it's cos we are constantly craning over to hear you shorties talking

Quite true. When I was a teenager I had awful posture. You know why? Because I subconsciously stooped to everyone else's level, both to hear them, and to look less out of place. In fact, even though I'm not as bad now, I'll only ever stand up completely straight if I'm around someone as tall or taller than me. And my girlfriend is 5'2", I used get neck pains from craning down to kiss her. Now I just sit down. Or lift her up.
[small]Heh, tiny people...[/small]

I say im 6'2 6'3, but im pretty sure im taller. I get a lot of flack for being tall so I play it down a lot. First thing anyone comments on when they meet me, so it pisses me off.
Are you skinny? If so, get a pair of clown shoes, pick up a Carol Channing impersonation, and wow your friends with your Ryan Stiles-inspired improv comedy!
Yeah, im skinny, but I have normal sized feet. Still, gotta love Ryan. That guys got Stile
