Poll: Help me choose which anime I should watch next!

Hello fellow Escapists! I'm in a bit of a dilemma and I hope you guys/girls could help me with it.

Since there is almost nothing coming out this month and I got bored of leveling my last 2 classes in Diablo 3,I decided to want to watch or continue watching some anime.

I've finished watching Bleach a few months ago when last episode aired and enjoyed it immensely.

The latest one that I started and went on hiatus because I find it rather dull because of all the fillers was Naruto(yes I know don't blame me)at episode 225~ish and couldn't watch more and stopped.

I want to get back into watching some animes so I've made a poll about different recommendations + the ones I want to watch myself and I can't seem to decide which I should watch first.

Should I continue Naruto and stick to it 'till the end or try something else?

Watching Naruto hey? OH GOD THE FILLER!

I'd recommend FMA as it's a pretty good anime and I would also say Code Geass.

You may be able to skip the Naruto filler

The main series ends and just has lots of filler after the bit where Naruto(SPOILERS AHEAD) fights Sasuke under that big waterfall I believe, from there it's all filler untill Shppuden

I recommend Akira as not only as it really good it's only like 2 hours long so you could watch something else

Cowboy Bebop is going to win the thread. Calling it now. Ghost in the Shell would be my second pick. I like the film and the show, but like the show more to be honest.

Ghost in the Shell. The TV series that is. The original movie and its sequel were fairly average and certainly don't live up to the hype.

I voted for Death Note because I like it a lot. But I'll agree with Hazy992 - go for Akira, so you can cross it off your list quickly and move on.

Also, as I was clicking the "Vote" button, I saw you had Avatar: the Last Airbender on that list. Definitely watch it soon, I'd say, move it towards the top of your queue. But I can't decide whether I'd want it before or after DN. Oh, also, it's not precisely anime, but it's good nonetheless.

Fullmetal Alchemist or FMA: Brotherhood, these are the shows which got me into anime in the first place, the characters are all interesting, well-developed and the shows have quite a few emotional-gut-punches that really got me

It's a film. No sequels that I know of.

Watch FMA, either series will do. It is very easy to get into and isn't too reliant on stock phrases or art, so it doesn't have a high barrier to entry.

If you you watch Full Metal, then watch Full Metal Brotherhood, its much better than the original series and its very close to the manga.

I gotta say this.
It will be absolutely awesome if Avatar the Last Airbender wins,
considering it's made in the US, so isn't technically anime.

Anyway. I voted for Cowboy Bebop, because it's a classic and really, if you haven't seen it already, you should.
You can't get much better.

Akira was a great show... however FMA is one of my favorites so my vote goes to that.

Stick with Naruto if you can, it gets much better once you reach the war.

If you want something funny, then try Gintama

Its easily the funniest anime i've ever seen, but not for the easily offended.

Just don't trust anything it tells you, because they've pulled the "the series is ending, so this is the last episode" card at least 5 times

I believe them every time.

You... finished watching Bleach? What is this black magic? Impossible I say!

But more on topic, there's plenty of really excellent animes there. I would recommend Akira, Death Note, Ghost in the Shell, and Avatar. Out of those I personally enjoyed Avatar and the first half of Death Note the most. The second half of Death Note is still really good, but it's several levels below the first half.

I don't know which would be most appropriate to watch first, maybe Akira. Akira is generally required watching for anime. Ghost in the Shell is too but not so much as Akira. Although personally I think they're not as good as people give them credit for.

Fairy Tail is pretty good, although good luck finding any links that arent blocked.

But Reborn just plain annoys me. Magical baby hitmen.

I know animes rarely have the most rational of plots, but seriously. WTF?

Darker than Black is a good action series, but not its sequals, they get a bit lost and overly emotional.
