One of the weirdest things Ive heard in long time- foods food, how can it be anything but?

I enjoy a good salad, however my girlfriend tells me It's weird and not masculine, It's been going on for a while now, so once and for all help us decide!

What is wrong with your girlfriend? Does she eat salads? Doesn't she know they're good for you? You should ask her how long she wants you around.

Interesting fact: The Cobb salad was invented at the special request (at least in one variation of it's origin) of a Hollywood promoter (Grauman of the famous "Chinese theater") looking for a dish both he and his wife could enjoy together. (They had peculiar and incompatible digestions) -they both loved it and he'd chauffeur to pick them up regularly. So salads can be romantic and masculine, see?

A while ago. Let us not forget Lord Byron's quote:

A woman should never be seen eating or drinking, unless it be lobster salad and Champagne, the only true feminine and becoming viands.

So I guess the real message here was that the poor should just never be seen.

wth Salad is the shit its one of the most versatile things you can prepare, its up there with pizza, burritos, tacos and sandwiches. Alot of guys eat salad I myself like a chef or taco salad every now and then. I wish I was able to eat salad more often I can eat a lot of it and it won't really effect my weight.

Last time I had no other option than eat at McDonald's, I ordered a salad instead of those cancer sticks they call fries.

Wait a minute since when do fries cause cancer? I've heard plenty of insults about McDonald's, but that one is just weird.

OT: Yes its fine for a man to eat a salad. I eat a salad sometimes when its paired with something else. I think the problem comes when a man goes to dinner with a girl and he only orders a salad the woman will think one of two things. One she may think is that you're being cheap and want to spend the least amount of money on a dinner with her, even if that mean sacrificing a hearty meal. Secondly she may think that you're trying to watch your weight, not that there is anything wrong with that, it just makes you look like all you care about is how someone looks.

Or maybe I just overanalyzed a mundane thing.

I guess that means I'm some kind of flamboyant wuss. I don't eat salads often, but nothing beats a good ceasar salad on the side. I also cook my own meals and clean up after myself. By that logic, I handed over my man card years ago.

Oh well. Still gonna proudly ask the waitress for a salad as a side to my medium-well steak anyway.

I make salads all the time. lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cut up hard-boiled egg, shredded bacon, chicken, bell peppers, jalapeno ranch dressing, & sliced almond toppings.

I've been known to substitute chicken for shrimp or salmon.
