Yeah, why not? I am not a fan, but it doesn't mean other men can't like their salads.

tell your girlfriend to f off, men can have their salads. It's actually more manly to have food that's not in my opinion

Tell your girlfriend to go eat a salad.

Salads are fucking delicious when made well. As a man and an omnivore, you shouldn't be questioned for what you eat.

I can't put it much better than this.

No they are not (at least in the US). A male character with a manbag is still an acceptable target for mockery on any TV show.

Not that I think that's a travesty, they do look stupid.
Straight-up murses are mocked, but things like messenger bags are getting more and more popular with guys.

You serious? We're going sexist about food now?

Eat what you want, bro, it's your stomach, is it not?

She's right. Prostate cancer is manly, eating salad is not...

Do me a favor, smack your ignorant girlfriend next time she spouts off about it. Salad is good for you. Eating excessive amounts of protein is not.

When she next has a burger or meat just say "that's very manly of you" or "well, it's not very feminine for you to be out the kitchen". If she wants to live in a "men being men and women being women" world let her have it but I think Bil Burr says it best. (after the marriage bit)

Would she rather have you sat with a beer and packet of crisps, hands down your pants watching the game? Or staying in shape and not being a slob?

This is why couples argue, people saying crazy things like this. It's like IRL flame bait.

I swear to god, I just spent 30 mins of my life looking for that vid, you better watch it! Honestly, sitting watching material I heard just the other day all over again to find that one little quote.

Psh, I say eat the damn veggies. It's better than going without. Maybe it'll be super manly if you tear up the lettuce in front of the tomato and let it know that it is next to die.

True, but it sucks nonetheless. Those things would be totally convenient!

OP: Salads are awesome.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize there is any social stigma on men eating salads.
I still highly doubt there is, this question has left me absolutely speechless. I mean WHAT?

Your GF is weird.

I Love Ceaser Salad, especially with Roast Chicken and Avocado in it.

Simple resolution:
Be totally sexist in retaliation; complain that eating meat makes her look butch and treat her like a dude (i.e. dead legs, fighting to settle arguments, ect). When she complains, agree to form a truce on the condition that she stops with the double standard chicks complain about/adore. Repeat if necessary.

That's incredibly idiotic, salads are great and I've never heard someone outright say they are feminine. Grab some ranch and keep it up, better than being obese.

I dislike them, but it's not unmanly, my dad literally has arms that are the size of my head, and he does aikido with me, and he likes salads, and he is plenty manly

It's absolutely ok. As long as he doesn't cut the salad up.

I love to munch my way through a carrot, half a head of lettuce, a capsicum, a tomato, and some olives. But if you expect me to cut it up and arrange to attractively you've got another thing coming buddy. Nooo you're meant to munch em up.

Only faggots and sailors cut up their veggies. And dressing is for effeminate ponces.

(I've gotten into the habit recently of saying "Only faggots and sailors .." when it's something I disagree with. Not that I have anything against gay men or seamen (lol))
