I was really good at it. Not just really good at it, shit hot good. So good I beat my maths teacher at it. Somehow though, I was terrible at everything else. Also, after 3 years of not doing it, I've lost my power.

This is why I think schools should teach computer programming with math because it really helps you realize why you need algebra and the later maths.

I for one like math and Im just finishing calc 3, pre-calc was the hardest math class Ive had and everything else was pretty easy.(yes calc is easier than pre-calc)

I'm finished with Math, I passed Pure Math 30 this year, a year before I should have. (Only Grade 11). I actually found Algebra to be the easier part of that course.

I hated all of the math courses I took, but in retrospect, it was worth it. Math is a lot better when it actually represents something, and I wouldn't have been able to take the statistics classes that I took later on if I hadn't taken the extra math courses in high school.

Maths, it starts off so easy that you don't need a calculator.
Then it gets tricky and the numbers get bigger so you need a calculator all the time.
Then it gets even harder but the calculator becomes useless again!

I'm currently in 2nd year of a Mechanical Engineering course and i hate maths. It's not difficult, it just looks bloody impossible and none of the lecturers will point out the universal method for you.

It was okay the only reason I took calc and still do in university is because it's a program requirement. I still have trouble see where this is going to come in handy later on.

So much of it is worthless, luckily I've designated math as my 'sleep period' so I don't pay attention anyway.
Maths isn't worthless. Everything you learn you use in the exams and the qualifications are not worthless.

I enjoy maths...
I all honesty, how many of us who are not in a science or engineering career can honestly say they've used cosign forumula or any kind of alegebra in general, at all since school?

Algebra I: Don't remember.
Geometry: Taught myself, got 102% of the class and sat listening to my iPod 90% of the time.
Algebra II: Payed attention first half, then got a graphic calculator and programmed it to do my work for me.
Trig: Programmed it to do my work/was distracted by a 4x4 rubix cube.
AP Calculus: Didn't understand it much more than the teacher did. Last third of it we sat there and watched Numb3rs for the rest of the course.

I am a Mathematics Major. If you ever forget how to FOIL/Expand/PEMDAS I will hunt you down and slap you in the face so hard that you travel back in time and repeat Algebra I.

It's cosine. And if you plan on building anything triangular in your life, you will need this.
