Poll: Here's a time machine - you can change one thing about the Gaming Industry.

My change would be to bring all the gaming related technology we have have at the moment to say the 80's and give them to heir respective comppanies(wii goes to nintendo PS3 to sony Xbox 360 to microsoft ect)and see what happens

alternate change would be to remove the term "Hard Core" from anything game related outside of in game dialouge. It means NOTHING!

My Change: Having the Nintendo Wii keep the name Nintendo Revolution, and be black from the beginning.

That thing looked badass! But the gimmicky name might where off...

Anyway, I would prevent Madden from being released yearly. Because it's annoying to have everybody get ALL excited over it EVERY FUCKING TIME.

Alternately, Make games cost less money, maybe?

As small of a change as that is, I think your change would influence the success of the Wii a fair amount, perhaps drawing a more "hardcore" (hate that term) gamer to the console, instead of viewing it as "gay". At least initially, which of course would make more 3rd party games developers invest more time in the console.

Plus it'll look and sound more awesome.

That too ^_^ I might even dust mine off and use it (no, literally, like a couple milimeters of dust on it)

well sega and atari would get every console and game that they have made up to now and an addition to this change(if this is alloud) I would tell them what caused them to drop out of the console race and see what they do to stay in. sega might be able to save the dreamcast and make more consoles. and atari might have gotten alot of good game onto the jaguar it could have become popular and atari would make more consoles. by this time there would be atleast 5 consoles making the console war much more interesting and who knows? maybe because of the amount's of consoles around there might be more compines developing consoles.

My Change : I would stop Microsoft and Sony from jumping onto Nintendo's band wagon. Leave the motion controls and casual gaming to Nintendo and give the hard core gamers what we want.

Band wagonning is a proud business tradition.

My change: Stop the death of point and click adventures. (I don't know how I'm no expert on this)

Alternate change: Do whatever I can to prevent the explosion of FPS (not prevent them existing just reduce the numbers made) and see if that would stop this anti-games bullshit before it begins.

Change: Stop EA from buying out Bullfrog. This would mean that Dungeon Keeper, Syndicate, and Populous would continue having sequels. Dungeon Keeper 3 would have been created and there would be no Dungeon Keeper MMO.

To be fair, the first game (Which is widely regarded as the best) had no regenerating health.
*Yes there is a regenerating shield, but the shield is near useless.*

I firmly believe that regening shield was the start of it becoming a trend wthin the industry.

big change: get rid of the original FFVII (wait! hear me out!), but leave the script and storyboard sitting around the office in the modern day. that way, we get it with modern graphics and capabilities, instead of FFXIII (and it solves the remake debate).

Yessssssss! I could stand to kick Curry n Rices ass a few more times. I still remember my strategy for the dice game. Bounce it off each wall, then throw it straight up, catch it on the bounce and throw it straight down. Yay superstitions.

OT: I'd go back and make sure the Monster Hunter series sells well in the US. Then, we'd have gotten Monster Hunter Frontier on PC, instead of them passing on it due to poor sales of the previous games.
